"By the way," Evelyn hastily spoke just before Bert hung up the phone, "Please invite Miss Graves. Lucas mentioned

"Mr. Harper, why did you summon me?"

involvement with Bert in her life. But when she heard his words, an inexplicable spark of anger ignited within her.

She smiled wryly and assumed an indifferent attitude, "Rest assured, after I meet Miss Evelyn, I will not appear

before you again."

So, on the way from the school to the cafe, they remained silent, neither exchanging words nor glances.

Exiting the car now, the man's lips moved slightly as if he wanted to say something, but he held it in, and walked

straight into the cafe without checking if the girl was following.

shirt, the collar slightly open, a casual yet calculated look. His cuffs were folded just above his wristwatch, perfectly

so.

Her eyes moved upwards, and she finally caught a glimpse of an extraordinarily handsome face...
