The voice amplified by the microphone was rather loud. Walking along, Scarlett heard someone inside congratulating Jane on her marriage in advance.

The instant Scarlett reached the doorway when she spotted Jane standing on a raised platform with a microphone in her hand. "Guys, please make yourselves at hand eat and drink to your hearts’ content." Oh, so it was Jane's treat.

Scarlett lifted her brows slightly. The one on the platform spotted her. "Everybody, please move your eyes in the direction of the door. Look who's just arrived!" Jane had scarcely finished speaking when dozens of pairs of eyes flashed at Scarlett.

Many people gasped at the sight of Scarlett. "Who's that beautiful woman?" It had been five years since their graduation, and Scarlett had hardly participated in any group activities with her classmates when in college, so it was unsurprising that sof her classmates failed to recognize her.

Scarlett had been deemed the prettiest girl in Juanton University, but Jane had been regarded as the prettiest girl in the class.

In fact, anybody with eyes could tell which one of the two was prettier, and that was why Jane had been nursing a grudge for so many years.

I'll introduce him to you when he comes." Scarlett was uninterested in making Jane's husband's acquaintance. She had chere for the matter of Linley.

"I'm not interested in any other woman's husband." Jane chuckled, "But he's your old classmate as well, Scarlett." "Oh." Scarlett lukewarmly made a response and walked inside.

In fact, Jane was a comely girl, and her family was affluent too, which was why she went overseas immediately after graduation.

But the reason why Jane appeared to be beautiful when standing among a crowd of ordinary people was because none of those around her was prettier than her.

But now, with Scarlett standing in front of her, many people found that Jane looked rather homely.

Looking at the glass of red wine Jane was handing to her, Scarlett shook her head. "I drove here, so I'm going to pass on the wine." Jane shrugged, replaced the wine with juice and handed it to her.

"Thanks." Scarlett gave no response to Jane's remarks, but Jane had a contingency plan." Our classmates have all done pretty well for themselves. Do you remember Martin Blake?
