A curse got stuck in Colton's throat, choking him.

What on earth was happening?! Flora furrowed her brows, knelt down, and checked on Nina's condition. Her breathing was steady, like she was just asleep, but Flora noticed something unusual.

Nina's constitution was unique, different from ordinary people, and she had a chronic poison in her body that seemed to have been there since birth. However, it wasn't something she was born with; it appeared to have been injected after she was born.

"Flora?" Connor entered and saw Flora with her back to him, holding a knife with blood on it. His heart tightened, and he hurried over, only to see the girl lying on the ground.

A flash of recognition crossed Connor's eyes as he asked, "What are you doing?" Lance and Colton, who had been focused on Flora, quickly greeted him respectfully, "Boss." Connor's gaze remained intense as he looked at Flora and the little girl.

"Connor, this girl is strange," Flora said as she let Nina's blood. "No one knows how she got past all the security. When I examined her, I found that her body is different from normal people, and she has chronic poison inside her..." Connor listened quietly, showing no surprise, as if he already knew about Nina's condition.

Suddenly, there was a commotion outside.

Jason knocked on the door, "Boss, there's a middle-aged man outside looking for his daughter, and he won't leave." "Let him in," Connor sighed.

The noise outside gradually subsided, and soon the door was forcefully pushed open by a middle-aged man in a suit rushing in.

Flora, with her back to the door and kneeling, blocked most of Nina's body from the man's view, but he could just see Nina's pink crystal shoes.

His face changed tically! "Nina!" He sprinted over, and when he saw the knife in Flora's hand and the small cut on his daughter's finger, his eyes widened with rage, and he instinctively kicked towards Flora's head! "Uncle!"

Connor's tall figure blocked Flora just m in time. Seeing him, El abruptly halted his kick mid-air. Flora looked up curiously at the man. She had heard right; Connor had called him "Uncle."

Connor nodded slowly, saying, "Uncle, don't worry. Nina's fine. Flora is my fiancée, she's detoxifying Nina." "What?"

Ewas taken aback again, his gaze landing on Flora, examining herm closely, with a mix of fervor and complexity in his eyes. She could detoxify Nina? The poison from that lab, this girl could cure it? "Miss, can you cure her poison?" Easked anxiously.
