The girls were visibly surprised when they heard Marianna’s introduction.

Just now, they had assumed Leonard was Marianna’s personal driver or bodyguard.

“Marianna, are you kidding? He’s your boyfriend?”

The woman was Kayla Hall. She was a good friend of both Eileen and Marianna.

“Screw Zavier. Let him come if he wants to.”

Leonard was also upset when he heard this. He spoke up loudly.

He then turned around, held Marianna’s face, and kissed her passionately.

“Soft, sweet, nice feel,”

Leonard thought to himself, smacking his lips.

Marianna blushed, lowering her head.

Kayla and others were shocked by Leonard’s bold action.

“Kiddo, you’ve got guts,”

Kayla sneered, “I hope you’re this brave when you face Zavier.”

“Let’s go inside now.”

Eileen stepped in to break the tension.

Leonard also followed them inside.

There were a few other girls and boys in the room.

When they heard that Leonard was Marianna’s boyfriend, they all looked surprised.

When Leonard went to the bathroom, they all burst out.

“Marianna, what’s going on? Where did you find such a boyfriend? Are you trying to stir up trouble?”

The room fell into silence at Marianna’s words.

It was clear that Marianna was serious this time.

This might stir up trouble.

Could Zavier let Leonard off if he found out?

Could anyone who dared to cheat Zavier have a good outcome?

“You’re fussier than the ones involved,” a voice commented. “Leonard just told us he isn’t afraid of

Zavier at all.”

Kayla spoke up with a sarcastic tone.

“Really? Is this guy that brave?”

“He doesn’t know how influential Zavier is,” another added. “He’ll be crying when Zavier shows up.”

“Your boyfriend seems reckless. He dares to act.”

Everyone shook their heads.

“Enough,” Marianna interjected, “He’s my boyfriend. If any of you dare to mock him again, you’ll be

crossing me. Don’t blame me for turning against you.”

Marianna’s face was dark as she spoke.

Everyone in the room instantly shut their mouths.

Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Leonard walked out. “Why did everyone stop talking? It was

lively just now,” he said with a smile.

He then sat naturally next to Marianna, putting his arm around her waist.

Marianna stiffened for a moment before leaning against Leonard’s chest.

A few men in the room watched, envy flashing in their eyes.

They all desired someone as beautiful as Marianna.

But the Rodgers family was too high above them. Even with their wealth, they weren’t worthy.

They thought only an heir to a big family like Zavier could date Marianna.

They didn’t expect such a nobody to win over her.

While everyone had complex feelings toward Leonard, they were not stupid.

Soon everyone was getting along with Leonard, all smiles, except for Kayla, who had felt humiliated in

front of Leonard.

“Did you hear about the rumors? Anthony Walker, the chairman of Dacon Group, is coming to Newden

City soon. He plans to open a branch there.”

A man shared the news.

Getting such information demonstrated their social standing.

“Anthony Walker? I’ve heard his name. My dad often talks about him, calling him a fierce tiger. He

would’ve been a hero in the old days,” someone responded.

“I heard Ranon was chaotic ten years ago,” another added. “Anyone who wanted to start a business

there had to deal with local gangs. Without their protection, no one could set foot there.”

“But when Anthony went there, he directly challenged those local gangs. Everyone thought he was

doomed.”

“Yet, three months later, Anthony had a firm footing in Ranon. You can imagine how capable he was.”

Mentioning Anthony stirred up discussion among the crowd.
