The next day, Alex, Firia, William, and Sullivan stood in front of the castle with Lin Xingzhi on the opposite side.
"Well, Sullivan will be hiding in Firia's shadow while William becomes our "surface" protector, right?" Alex smiled and turned to them.
"Yep." Lin Xingzhi nodded. "I think with both of them, you will have enough force to retreat even in the dire situation."
"I believe so. I just don't want to kill someone right now, but I feel like it's impossible." Alex sighed, wondering how many arrogant young masters would appear before him later. After all, Firia was famous on that planet.
"Hmm, I am not sure myself. I think Firia status has been confirmed and spread around, so people won't think that we destroy them without any basis or because you are purposely hiding your identity." Lin Xingzhi shook her head helplessly. "But there are always fools out there, so it's up to you. If they don't like it, just kill them."
"Yep, that's what I'm planning to do." Alex nodded.
"The competition will start in a month. You can go there and search for medicinal herbs or whatever while trying to work in your coordination."
"Noted. We can reach there in one day, but since Firia is here, I will slow down a bit, so two days."
"And those two made a bet, you know. I overheard them."
William and Sullivan froze as they never expected that someone would find out.
"Bet?" Alex narrowed his eyes, staring at Alex.
"Yes, we were betting how long it would take for a fool to offend you in that world. My bet was two days while Sullivan chose three days." William answered with a weird expression.
"…" Alex twitched his eyebrows and asked, "What is the stake?"
"Personal wine."
Firia searched the Inventory and took out a good wine and smiled. "I bet this wine that Alex will meet a fool on the first day."
"Oi." Alex's eyebrows twitched before gently chopping her head.
"Ehehe…"
"It seems I was wrong to even go easy on you guys…" Alex shook his head helplessly and said with a cold tone. "We're going at full speed."
Firia was clueless about this while Sullivan and William had been told by the Elemental Gods about it, so their faces became pale.
Alex snapped his finger and said, "Off we go."
"Be careful out there." Lin Xingzhi smiled and waved her hand.
Alex nodded and activated the Teleportation Array, going straight to the Pill World.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs one would expect, the trio was shaken due to this teleportation speed. They never thought that the full speed was this crazy, making them want to throw up.
Seeing Firia having cold sweat, his heart couldn't take it anymore and stopped for a while before slowing down his speed.
They arrived at the planet one and a half days later as they entered the world without hesitation. Landing in a forest, Alex asked Firia. "Where are we right now?"
"This is Great Rua Forest. There is nothing to be seen here other than the scenery since this world doesn't have monsters anymore."
Alex nodded. "I have heard the information. It's a world filled with only alchemists. They can trade herbs, refine pills, and so on."
"Yeah. Hence, if we want to go somewhere, I think it's best to go toward the east. That's where the tournament will be held." Firia pointed her forefinger to the front.
Alex nodded. "Should we fly then? It will only take less than a minute to go around the world anyway."
Sullivan then walked toward Firia as he expanded her shadow. "Then, I will be hiding inside."
"I will be counting on you, Sullivan." Firia gave permission to him before looking at Alex.
"Yes."
"Alright, let's go."
They nodded at each other before disappearing from the place.
…
In the city Firia mentioned, there were so many people walking around as if everywhere was a store. There were even some that opened a stall or spread it on the ground for people to choose.
However, it was hard to cheat someone in this place, considering almost every single person in this place was an Alchemist.
Alex, Firia, and William had finally arrived in this place, staring at the grand gate that seemed to welcome anyone. From the sky, this city was massive since it stretched to the horizon, becoming the biggest city for trading, especially everything related to Alchemy.
"Let's enter. Do you have a place you recommend to stay?" Alex asked.
"There are two options. If you want to live somewhere cheap, I can recommend one place. If you want to live with ten million Spirit Crystal a day, I also have a place."
Alex thought for a moment, thinking, 'With one trillion Spirit Crystals in my Inventory, I don't think it will be a burden to spend three hundred million. That place must be good and protect privacy well, so I guess we should take it.'
"Good. Let's go to the expensive one." Alex nodded. "We will only stay here for a month anyway."
"Sure." Firia nodded and said, "Follow me."
Alex and William agreed and followed her from behind. Meanwhile, Firia kept talking about the city and its perms.
Alex took a note while looking at them with his Spirit Eyes.
Suddenly, a huge tower piercing the sky came into his vision.
"That's the pill tower." She smiled. "Basically, you can trade high-quality stuff there since the elders in that tower will need to check your stuff first before selling them. There are a few floors for auctions as well that are running daily.
"And that's where we are going to compete." She pointed at the tower, feeling nostalgic. "I have been training there, so I know quite a bit. That's also where the inn is."
"I see." Alex nodded. "Let's go to the tower then."
"By the way, are you going to take advancement rank? If I am not wrong, you have never bothered about it again, right? Isn't it fine for formality and identity since I believe you can just show the badge to everyone, telling them you are an Alchemist and getting the benefits?" asked Firia while recalling all the benefits that she got for becoming an Alchemist.
Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "I don't have a problem, but I wonder if I should show my array as well."
"I don't think so. The point of the test is Alchemy. Even if you show it, you won't get any special benefit."
"Is that so?" Alex tilted his head in confusion. "The system is complicated."
"Yeah. Anyway, I have my badge here." She took out a golden nine-pointed star badge. "This means that I can make a High Rank 9 Pill which is the strongest here."
"I see. Let's go then. I won't have a problem making that. I will probably make a White Ash Pill again since there is one more set of ingredients."
"Ah, right. Sister Xingzhi harvested them not long ago." She nodded. "This is a hot commodity since all of them have Fire Element. We can trade it for something good."
"Exactly. It's not like I can use it for the second time, so it's a waste to see the ingredients lying around."
"Sure. Let's go to the inn first before we do anything else." Firia waved her hand to end the conversation as they headed straight to the tower.
When they arrived at the tower's entrance, Alex finally saw how big this tower was. The size of one floor alone was as big as his castle. And it seemed to have a hundred floors.
"The first floor is for reception and inquiry. After that, it's the auction halls. There are around a hundred auction halls here and they all run daily. That's how busy this town is. As for the next ten floors, they are where they sell anything from pills to medicinal herbs verified by the elders, so no one can cheat.
"Another fifty floors are used to host Alchemy Competition, Refining Rooms, Testing Rooms. All the remaining floors other than the very top floors are used for the lodging. The room I said earlier is right below the top floor, which is used for the office to maintain this planet."
Alex nodded. "I don't mind since I can see a huge amount of Spiritual Energy inside the tower."
"Yep. It seems they are using half the profit they get to support the entire tower with this amount of Spiritual Energy. I'm sure it's enough to even be used as cultivation resources, right?"
"Yes."
"Anyway, let's go inside." She smiled and clung to her hand like a couple, entering the tower.
The place was as busy as the street. Everything inside the tower could only be described as extravagant. He simply had no words. Even the receptionists who handled everyone were peerless beauties.
"By the way, you can even hire a woman here to take care of everything you need here."
"I am not going to hire someone, you know." Alex glanced at her, who had no change in expression.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Of course, I know. I just wanted to tell you." Firia shrugged. "I can satisfy you better than them. I guarantee it."
"Haha." Alex chuckled before Firia gently led him to the receptionists that handled the lodging rooms.
They were separated by floors and every floor seemed to have someone standing by. It might be due to the price, there was no one standing on the line like the other floors.
Alex suddenly halted his step and looked around with a serious expression.
"Alex… What are you doing?"
"I am just searching for potential trouble. This place is the easiest one to show off your wealth, you know. And you are more beautiful than them, so I'm just afraid that someone is trying to get you."
"Well, isn't it good? I will win the bet."
"And I need to kill people here, you know. If the situation is not handled properly, I will be forced to raise the entire army to slaughter more innocent people." Alex sighed.
"Fine, fine." Firia pouted and gently led him to the receptionist, asking, "Is there any empty room?"
The female offered the greatest smile she had, knowing that these two seemed to be wealthy. Unfortunately, she felt a bit inferior to Firia. Observing Alex's features in a split second, she bowed to them, showing her cleavage to Alex while answering politely. "We have many rooms ready."
Firia nodded and took out a Space Ring, handing it to the receptionist. "Thirty days. I believe it should be enough, right?"
Alex tilted his head and asked. "You pay?"
"From your pocket of course." She stuck her tongue out.
Alex shrugged since the "pocket" she was talking about was his Inventory. It was the greatest pocket of all time.
The receptionist's eyebrows twitched. She never expected someone to be this wealthy. Spending three hundred million Spirit Crystals just for lodging was huge even for people from big influences. Hence, Alex's identity must be a bigger one.
There was a possibility that Alex was a scion of someone who ruled over an entire planet. At least, his father should be a Rank 2 God or something.
Such a man in front of her, who didn't want to try their luck?
She thought about seducing him if he was alone, but it seemed to be not possible with Firia.
"I understand. Do you need anything else? We have many servi—"
Before she finished, Firia cut her off and said, "We don't need anything."
"…" The receptionist wished for Firia to go off, but Alex already nodded her head, telling her that he didn't need such a service.
She could only feel bitter while serving them politely. After all, even if she couldn't do anything to Alex, offending him would be the last thing she wanted to do.
"This is the token to enter your room. Let me guide you to the room." She smiled and stretched her hand to the door behind her.
When she opened it, they found one hundred doors that had been numbered.
They arrived in front of door number 96 as the receptionist opened it with her token. "This is a personal elevator that can only be activated with your token. There is also a transmission to notify us if you need anything in your room."
Firia then led him to the elevator while William remained silent, following them quietly. She waved her hand, closed the door and said, "I have visited this place a few times, so you don't need to guide us there."
