Chapter 704
The next day, Olivia got up to see Zac eating downstairs. Suddenly, she remembered the matter with Jimmy and
started to feel her heart getting heavy.
When should she tell him?
When Zac saw her walking downstairs, he smiled. "You’re up. Did you sleep well last night?"
Olivia nodded. "Fine. Maybe I was too tired, so I fell asleep without thinking much of it.”
"What did Jennie say?"
Zac knew what Olivia was like.
Once she regarded someone as her friend, she would not give them up so easily.
Olivia sighed and shook her head with a bitter smile. "Zac, I don't know if I failed or if it was because of something
else. Jennie and I can't come back from this anymore.
Tve thought of a lot of excuses for her, but her tone told me that they're all lies that I made up to convince myself."
"Ken's right. You're too benevolent sometimes. You shouldn't stand with someone who's not loyal to you."
"I understand. But after all, this is a three-year relationship, so it feels very sudden."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtZac peeled an egg for her and placed it on an empty plate next to her." Have you ever thought that maybe this
whole time, she’s ust someone who values love?"
This reminded Olivia.
She recalled the countless blind dates Jennie went on during the three years they were friends. However, none of
them worked out. Jennie was also in a few relationships but she never took them seriously.
Therefore, Olivia never thought of Jennie as someone who prioritized love.
It seemed as if everything changed when Ken appeared.
All of her principles went out the window, and all of Olivia's advice became her obstacle.
Olivia frowned. "I remember now that you've mentioned it. She changed because of Ken. Back then, she was not
interested in being in a relationship.
"However, she did mention that she must fall madly in love once in her lifetime, the kind that would make her lose
her mind."
"A romantic idealist."
"Hmm?"
"In her head, she's certain that Ken likes her, so everyone that stops them from being together is evil. That's why
you also became a villain."
Olivia ate some eggs but was still confused. "But why? What's making her so obsessed?"
Zac helped her test the temperature of the milk. "This is just nice. You can drink it now."
Shortly after, he ate his oatmeal and said, "There are two possibilities. One possibility is that they've met before.
However, Ken is the one who's being chased, so this is just one-sided. The second possibility is that there's no
deeper reason and they just like that person. It could be the person's demeanor or appearance, or perhaps it's just
because it's them. No reason."
Olivia drank some of her milk and shook her head. "I don't understand."
"Forget it. Don’t think about this. You're destined to never understand some people."
Zac narrowed his eyes, and a look of desolation flashed across his face." To them, the person they like is the
priority, and anyone else is unimportant. You can't understand it even if you rack your brains. It's because you're
just not that kind of person."
Olivia lifted her head to look at Zac. She parted her lips to say something, but nothing came out.
She kept feeling as if Zac knew something.
After breakfast, Zac called out to her after he finished reading his newspaper. "Liv, go change. You're coming with
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmme."
"Where?"
"Quinton Group."
'Quinton Group?'
Olivia thought she misheard him, so she ran over nervously. "Why? Are you going to lay your cards on the table with
Jimmy? Don’t. Your body..."
Zac held her hand and said softly, "Don’t worry. I won't do that, but I'm going to get back what belongs to me.
"You didn’t forget that Quinton Group doesn’t belong to the Quintons, right?"
Olivia nodded. "I remember."
Quinton Group was originally called Durham Group, and it belonged to Zac's grandfather. However, his grandfather
died, so Jimmy coaxed Zac's mother to sign the transfer agreement. In just a blink of an eye, he had changed
Durham Group to Quinton Group.
Jimmy promised he would give half of the shares to Zac once he became an adult, but in the end, Zac did not
receive a single penny.
