Adam ignored the snickering Medusa and looked down once again at the list that was handed over to him by Miguel.
Clicking on Ghost Spider's profile, he was given a list of her achievements and he had to admit one fact.
It was quite an impressive list, to say the least.
She became a Hunter ever since she was a little child and even then she had been recognized for how ruthless she was with her work.
While most scions of the high family did not hide their names and identities as they had nothing to fear from retaliating enemies, she had been one of the few hunters who always had their faces hidden from the world.
Adam remembered that even when they were at school, she would generally wear a face mask to block anyone else from seeing her appearance. No one really asked why she did that and simply chalked it up to her having some sort of allergy or something of the sort. They didn't want to pry much into her life and make her uncomfortable.
It was only in front of him, after they became a couple, that she would be willing to show her whole face. Though the first time he had seen it had been an accident on his part.
Either way, Tsubasa's action as a Hunter was nothing short of exemplary. She was also known for how all her mission had a 100% death rate when it came to the enemy. Never leaving anyone alive no matter what seemed to be her motto.
—Which gave her the monicker of Black Widow. Later on, at her beseech it was changed to the Ghost Spider and it stuck to this date…
Around five years ago, her hunting activity slowly ceased to an all time low, and while there were definitely reports of her still being active in the vicinity of Little Tokyo, she ceased actively taking missions from the associations— until now that is.
In the list of possible skills, there was no information at all. Ghost Spider never worked in a team and all her mission were extermination missions. There were no survivors left to speak about her skills. At most, there were just speculations about her powers being related to spiders in view of her nickname.

At the very least, she had shown feats of superhuman strength and superhuman speed that went far beyond the average supernatural category so that was still something. Even then, it was still something very normal in the supernatural world.
"A true mystery."
"That is true. Though what I can tell you is that she is stronger than the reports state her to be. She is currently at least on the Executor rank and unlike the little Girl Makoto, she has advanced control over her divine weapon. It shouldn't be impossible for her to become a Director soon if she keeps this up. Though her divine weapon is not offensive in nature, unlike Makoto's sword."
"A Director?"
Adam was quite surprised by this piece of information. After facing the demon on the island and experiencing the fire that his mom— Cecilia was able to evoke, Adam understood quite well what those words meant in terms of scaling her existential power.
"Don't be surprised. Honestly, if she did not stop training five years ago, she would be stronger. Far stronger. I guess she is a monster on the same level as your mother. Should I say as expected of a Hero? All the women around you are very special indeed."
"Hah…"
Adam did not know what to say in response to this revelation. But there was something else nagging at him.
"If she knows that I am a Hunter and even knows my identity as a Hunter… What else does she know?"
Medusa smiled at him and walked back to her machine, resuming her run on the treadmill for a second round.
But that smile was all he needed to realize that his suspicions were true. Clearly, Tsubasa would have access to much more information than just his identity as a Hunter.
'This doesn't make sense. How is she able to observe me? Does she have some sort of clairvoyance power or future sight?'
Adam frowned. In the past, he thought that with 'The World', he would be able to notice if anything suspicious were to happen in his immediate surroundings thanks to the large coverage of his domain but it seemed like he had underestimated the means of the people of the supernatural world.
'Then again, Eve can literally see all my life or at least anticipate my future and I can use the souls of the deceased to spy on people.'
"I need to figure out a way to protect myself from being observed."
"You don't seem scared about the fact that Tsubasa knows more about you than anyone else."
Medusa keep running on the treadmill but couldn't help but notice that Adam had calmed down rather fast. She was quite happy with this outcome. This was a necessary quality to have to survive and thrive in the supernatural world.
"For starters, whatever she may know, she knew it for some time now and nothing happened yet to me."
He doubted he would have been left alone if his true identity was discovered. So either Tsubasa did not know it or she knew and did not divulge it.
"Secondly… There are many reasons for me to doubt and be wary of other people's loyalty. But when it comes to Tsubasa…"
Adam sighed and shook his head, "There are higher chances of her kidnapping me and locking me in some hidden place than her betraying me. Then again, five years is a long time. So perhaps she changed in the meantime? I don't know."
"Hahaha. I don't know how she was with you all those years ago but trust me… That fire in her didn't vanish in the least."
Medusa did not want to talk too much about the Hanekawas. Just remembering anything related to Inari left a bad taste in her mouth.
"You seem very snappy today."
Adam seemed to have noticed her odd behavior but she just smiled, "As a teacher I am happy you learned how to read body language better. Anyway, enough of this discussion. You can deal with Tsubasa on your own. Kill her, keep her, avoid her, befriend her. It's none of my business. For now, why don't you talk about the loan you wanted?"

"I want more cigarettes or really anything that can deal with soul wounds and help repair them."
"Oh?"
Medusa immediately stopped the machine and looked at him with a glint in her eyes.
"Explain more."
Whatever sports and running could be done later at her discretion? But this— this promised to be more than just interesting. There were few things more fascinating than problems related to the soul in her opinion.
"Well…"
How much could he say to her? He had already decided to be as forthright as possible without mentioning anything about his own origins.
"You do know that I can manipulate dreams and illusions, right?"
"Indeed. Truly a fascinating power as well. What about it?"
"Well… I entered dreamscape recently—"
Medusa immediately approached him and clenched her small hand around his arms and grasped him with so much force that he thought his arm was going to get crushed by now…
"Tell me everything, you hear me? Everything…"
Adam had to admit. The intensity in her eyes was scary.
