Godlike Player in a Game-Like World
Chapter 53 Region Boss Joined To The Party''Hey, he's not a human, right? '' In a low voice, the man who had recently injured his shoulder spoke. He appeared to be fully recovered physically, but his mental injury was a different story.
The man asked, but no one on the team answered. Helen also had a more agitated expression than before. With the shield in her hand, she gave the impression that she was about to blow someone's head off.
Even though their team was winning the match, nobody could celebrate because of how unexpectedly they were doing it.
''There are a few more snow puddles up ahead. '' Now that she could more or less tell the difference between snow and snow-colored rabbit fur, Helen reported her findings to the team.
The team was on its way to the snow puddles Helen had pointed out, which could be a group of snow rabbits, when another system message was heard.
*Ding*
[Your team gained 1 point.]
[Since you made no contributions to the battle, you won't gain any shared experience.]
The team paused for a split second, and then continued on, pretending not to notice. Shortly after that, the system message began to ring continuously again until one of the men snapped under the stress and yelled.

When the other two men saw this scene, they were unable to stand it either and joined the man to defend their pride with their own war cry.
Helen was the only one who remained, watching her teammates in helpless disbelief.
The three men were frantically running toward the snow puddles while yelling, then they abruptly stopped after feeling a sudden jolt coming from the ground.
''W-what's going on? '' Healer questioned while defending himself with his wand in his hand. This tremor didn't appear to be normal at all.
Without waiting for the other two men's responses, he quickly understood what was happening as he saw what was emerging from the snow puddles in front of them.
First, one of the mounds began to rise, revealing a massive blue hand. Then another hand appeared by splitting up the snow. Soon, the head of the thing, the owner of those massive hands, slowly emerged from under the snow.
As the azure-colored humanoid monster rose from the snow, the three men froze in terror.
The creature turned and glared at these three men with its yellow eyes and jet-black pupils, indicating that it was not overly pleased to be disturbed. The thin white hair that fluttered from its head to its face made those eyes appear even more menacing.
Opening its mouth, it showed fangs from its lower jaw that were protruding and curled like those of a mammoth, and it roared as though in response to the earlier battle cries of these three men.
''ROOAAARRRR''
The impact of this sound, which reverberated throughout their bones, caused the three men to finally regain their composure.
''R-RUN!!! '' One of the men yelled while attempting to turn his shaking body around.
But by then, it was too late.
When the man finally turned around and took the first step of his jog for his life, a horizontally rotating object hit him in the waist and split him in half.
''F-Fuck this… T-This is Region Boss. '' Helen's eyes showed the horror she was experiencing as she watched this. When she saw what had happened to her teammate, who was lying in a pool of his own blood in front of her after being cut in half by a flying axe, she immediately did the first thing that came to mind.
With all of her might, she began to run, leaving her teammates to face their own fates.
Region Boss, meanwhile, quickly got to its feet and sprinted over to the second man closest to it.
The monster, who stood more than three meters tall and covered several meters with each step, pressed its long, ice-made nails into the back of the second man, who was trying to flee.
''AGGHH''
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBecause of the horror he was experiencing, the man couldn't even consider using his skills and died helplessly while screaming in agony.
''Light Steps. ''
The last man standing had enough time to use his skill. As the skill took effect, the man's weight seemed to lighten. His body swung forward with each step he took, like a feather in the wind.
Sadly, that wasn't enough to escape from the enraged creature that had been jerked out of its slumber. With only two steps, the creature caught up to the man and grabbed him by the neck.
The man flinched in pain. He didn't have any skills left to help himself out of this situation. Helen's undulating blond hair fluttering in the distance caught his eye seconds before he died with the sound of a bone breaking.
''Damn, why am I so unlucky? '' Helen exclaimed as she dashed forward with all her might. She didn't even have time to look back to see if the region boss was pursuing her.
"My rush skill won't last for long. I hope I can do it before that. '' Helen continued to run, with only one goal in mind, in this place where she had nowhere to hide.
''If I recall correctly, he went that way. He is now my only hope.'' She pondered desperately. To believe that the region boss wouldn't pursue her was pure fantasy. She would undoubtedly become the next target the moment all of her teammates died. Finding Raydon was the only way to escape.
Though she was unsure of how he could assist her, she had a feeling that he could somehow protect her from this monster.
The region boss's footsteps, which shook the ground with each step, could be heard behind Helen as she ran as fast as she could, realizing that her skill duration was about to expire and that this was also the thing she most feared.
