In the end, Jason didn't have much to tell her.
He simply shared the truth with her that he was pulled towards a specific dungeon, in which he had solved various trials before he received an inheritance and many great rewards.
However, the more he spoke about the content of the trials, and what kind of passing score he received for the things he did, the more serious Jennifer's expression became.
Once he concluded his story, she was staring at him in doubt, not sure what to say anymore.
She was already doubtful when Jason spoke about the city-like treasury, but the moment he said that there were several [Sun] ranked techniques out of which he had chosen one, Jennifer was utterly dumbfounded.
But, her confusion only increased when Jason said that he didn't take any of such techniques because he was interested in a gradeless technique instead!
The moment Jason said this, she felt like punching him, momentarily forgetting that she had cried just a few minutes earlier.
Because he noticed that, Jason handed over the Kanadi of a Primordial technique to her without bothering to conceal the truth.
He had already told her that he was a Celestia Halfling, but until now, neither Luna nor Jennifer had believed him.
As for Luna's disbelief, Jason couldn't help but be glad because she wouldn't be able to tell anyone about him if she didn't believe in his lineage.
Thus, only Jennifer had to believe him, but even that was something Jason had decided not to try anymore- convincing anyone about his origin.
Either they believed him when he decided to trust them enough to share the truth, or they could choose to believe that he was lying.
It was their free will, and nothing he had to force on someone.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtDespite not believing Jason beforehand, everything he had said so far made more and more sense.
This included how his combat prowess had suddenly increased to the extent that he was able to defeat ten beings at the Ascendion stage while being at the Mid-Late Prismar stage himself.
Jennifer had also been able to perceive Jason's aura several times over and over again.
As such, she began to believe him the moment she had read through the introductory part of the Kanadi of a Primordial technique.
At first glance, the technique seemed simple, but after reading a few pages, Jennifer realized that one's full potential was the most important to practice this technique.
This included both the released and the potential that was still hidden
Thus, Jason had to believe in his potential enough to choose the Kanadi of a Primordial technique over [Sun] ranked techniques!
With that in mind, Jennifer forgot all about her worries and was mindlessly staring at Jason, who was staring at the corpses of the Ascendion stage beings.
"Do you think they have a device to locate each other? So that one would find them if they were to die or get lost?"
With an unsure expression, Jason continued to observe them, only to turn his head towards Jennifer, who was not sure herself.
"Just take a look at their spatial rings. If there is something like a tracking device inside, just destroy it or whatever."
Nodding his head, Jason did as she said, and as he had presumed there was one tracking device in each of the spatial rings.
However, before destroying them, he got an idea as he looked at the elemental crystal cave.
"By the way, how about you use your affinities to dig out some elemental crystal and the elemental ore?"
This question caused Jennifer to look at him in doubt.
However, upon seeing his expression, she quickly figured out that he was teasing her.
"That was a joke. Just rest inside the elemental cave. Enter the entrance and descend the vertical tunnel. Afterward, you will enter a small hall. There shouldn't be any beasts in it."
While she continued to look at Jason in doubt, Jennifer's first thought was that he wanted to abandon her too.
But then she realized that Jason wouldn't tell her if he were to leave her behind which caused her to ask,
"And…what are you going to do in the meantime?"
Jason had already thought of a plan but before they would be able to do anything, he had to distract the Devir and Aeus.
Thus he pointed at the corpses of the few Ascendion stage Cultivators before answering her.
"I'll dispose of them, destroy their tracking devices far from here before returning. After that we will create a proper plan about what we want to do and then… we just act accordingly.
And we are mining some of the elemental ore and elemental crystals so we have sufficient funds wherever we want to go!"
With that being said, Jason stored away the corpses before he manifested Artemis' wings.
"I'll be back in three days, and if I don't find you sound asleep when I return, I'm gonna scold you!"
He was still teasing her, and Jason felt that it was easing Jennifer's tension, which was why he began to tease her, to begin with.
After taking her to the entrance of the vertical tunnel that was hidden quite well, Jason bid her farewell.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe then exerted the Hermes Celeration technique with some of his divine energy in order to reach a terrifying speed.
A total of three days passed in which he spent one and a half days flying in a zig-zag way while trying to throw the corpses as far as possible.
However, instead of breaking the tracking devices he laid them down, only to turn the surroundings into a battlefield, and completely destroy it.
Afterward, he worsened the wounds on the Ascendion stage beings, using the claws of Artemis which he manifested.
It was annoying to do so, but Jason had to give his best to make others believe that a huge battle had happened here, and not that the true crime scene was somewhere else.
With that in mind, he spent almost two hours making it as believable as possible before he left the place for good.
In the end, it would take a few days until someone noticed that the tracking devices remained on the same spot for days.
By then, he would have long since returned to the elemental cave, where he wanted to spend enough time to liquefy sufficient mana drops and solidify the dome crystal, which he also wanted to finish before leaving.
As such, when he returned to Jennifer, who was still sleeping, nobody had figured out that Jennifer's pursuers were already dead.
Thus, instead of bothering Jennifer, Jason began to cultivate the Divine Maestra technique.
With each day that passed, he was able to improve the speed at which he cultivated. But right now, this was accelerated further because he didn't have to worry about Jennifer anymore.
She was right by his side, and mostly unscathed, which was great.
Only her mental state was something he was a little bit bothered about, but other than that, Jason had nothing left to complain about.
Thus, a week passed before she woke up, and they began to devise a plan about what they were supposed to do next.
In the end, they came to a consensus as Jason got to know something astonishing.
"Your…parents are still alive?! I thought they were…dead!"
