Lily stayed silent. Whenever Lily used to visit the Fulton Manor, she would meet Emma there, and the both of

them got along swimmingly. Emma loved to joke around and would tease Lily about Xavier.

Lily would blush furiously from the teasing every time, but she would feel sweet and content on the inside.

Lily was only entertaining Emma, but as soon as the words left her mouth, she caught the reflection of a tall,

muscular man standing behind her.

Lily turned around and realized that Xavier had cdownstairs without her noticing. He had his hands in his

pockets. A faint smile was on his lips, and he looked to be in a good mood.

Xavier thought his guesses were correct. Lily's constant aloofness and tic attempts at divorce were only

her methods to gain his attention. He was sure that even her closeness with Terence was just a test for him.
