Isabela’s expression turned serious. The longer the explanation she heard, the stiffer she

“What’s wrong, Isabel? Did something bad happen?” Frank asked, feigning concern.

Instead of answering, Isabela trembled. Her feet subconsciously moved backwards. Her

Kara could smell her fear. Stepping forward, she touched Isabela’s shoulder. “Miss Hall, are

you okay?”

Isabela unexpectedly screamed and slapped Kara’s hand away. Then, with ragged breaths,

she ran down the stairs. Kara and Louis furrowed their eyebrows, wondering.

“What’s wrong with her? Did she just get a call from a ghost?” Louis muttered as he

monitored the direction Isabela was running.

Meanwhile, Frank let out a smile. Kara understood the meaning of that expression. “What

are you doing, Frank?”

The man raised his eyebrows innocently. “What? I do not do anything. Maybe she’s got

“No, Kara.” Frank held her arm. “I work from home today.”

Meanwhile, behind the door, Louis’ cheek was still pressed against the board. His eyes

narrowed, sharpening his concentration.

However, after a few seconds, his ears could not catch any sound.

“Why are they whispering? I can’t steal any information,” he grumbled with furrowed

brows.

After considering for a moment, Louis took a book and a pencil.

Sitting at the table, he muttered, “Even though I don’t understand, I can’t just stay still. I

have to get in on the action too.”

All morning, Louis and the book stayed together. They only separated when Louis had

breakfast and went to the toilet. Even when it was around the lunch time, he went to the

dining room with the book.

“Thinking hard makes me hungry. I have to eat a lot.”

However, when he passed the living room, his eyes widened. “The Kind Grandfather?”

Rowan was walking in accompanied by several bodyguards. His expression was sullen and
