His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 241
Chapter 241
On the journey back from Skyrim to Elmsworth, the usually vibrant and ebullient Evadne had been unusually quiet, a cloud of despondency hanging over her
beautiful face.
Upon returning to the hotel, Evadne didn’t allow Jason, her trusty assistant, to bother her. Instead, she sequestered herself in her office, pouring over old files regarding the infamous incident involving Myra.
“Myra’s darkest hour had been at that media party, but it was also the starting point of a profound connection between her and Emeric,” she mused.
“In those days, the internet wasn’t as ubiquitous as it is now. People got their gossip from magazines or newspapers. Emeric, in order to control the narrative, had reportedly bought and destroyed all the national publications that had reported on the incident. He had even penalized journalists who had dared to publicize the event. But, it was rumored that some foreign journalists had managed to capture footage of the event and upload it onto the internet. Emeric had tried to scrub it clean, but some traces still remained.”
Evadne took a deep breath, her sharp gaze fixed on her computer screen, her fingers fiying over the keyboard. She was soon able to access the long buried video of the party, the footage so old it was blurred.
In the video, Myra’s face was ashen. She was shaking, on the verge of a breakdown, under the glaring spotlight that seemed to amplify her despair. The audience’s shocked gasps and derisive laughter echoed around her, threatening to shatter her fragile composure.

Without a word, Emeric shed his blazer, knelt in front of Myra, and wrapped it around her waist. The room fell silent. The video ended.
Evadne stared blankly at the screen, her shoulders sagging as she leaned back in her chair.
So, it was this incident that had won Myra’s heart?
“Emeric, you really knew how to play the game,” she murmured before her phone rang.
Snapping back to reality, she answered the call, “What’s up, Jason?”
“Miss Evadne, Jareth is here with his sister.”
Evadne, still upset about Myra, initially didn’t want to meet Jareth and his sister, but upon hearing that Jareth was there to apologize, she decided to meet them. Seeing the young girl squirm in discomfort might just lift her spirits.
As she approached the meeting room, Jason met her with a concerned expression.
“Miss Evadne, I am sorry: I didn’t know that before. Thaddeus is also here,” he reported.
Evadne’s icy gaze met Jason’s, “Why didn’t you just boot him out?”
“I apologize, Miss Evadne. Jason bowed deeply, acknowledging his oversight. Thaddeus was a sl*ppery one. He had not been present when Jason had escorted Jareth and Edith into the meeting room, but when he returned, Thaddeus was already seated on the sofa, sipping coffee with an unapologetic air.
-Evadne shrugged, “Never mind. You couldn’t have handled him anyway.”
With a nod of her chin, she signaled Jason to open the door.
She entered the room, a stunning figure in a sharp suit and killer heels, an aura of commanding authority surrounding her.
“Evadne.” Jareth rose nervously from the sofa. As always, she was an enigmatic and intoxicating sight, a fierce and ruthless mob boss.
Thaddeus looked up at Evadne, his senses on high alert.
Edith, hiding behind Jareth, stared at the confident and defiant Evadne, her small hands clenched in fear.
“Well, it’s a full house,” Evadne commented, shrugging off her suit jacket, which Jason caught smoothly. She turned to Thaddeus, a teasing smile playing on her l*ps, “Thad, are you here to back up Ms. Edith?”
Thaddeus’s blood boiled at her words. He glared at Evadne’s smirking face, a cough stuck in his throat.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEvadne was as sharp–tongued and biting as ever when it came to him. But that was just who she was. And he was willing to accept that spiky side of her.
Edith, seeing her misunderstanding, hid a smirk. She decided to play along, shuffiing forward with a pitiful expression.
“Evadne, I admit I was wrong before, but are you also losing your vision?” Thaddeus retorted, his gaze never leaving hers, a hint of affection hidden deep within, “There’s no Thad here, only your ex–husband.”
Edith froze, thunderstruck!
“But I am indeed here to support someone. Just not Ms. Edith.”
Thaddeus finished, his handsome face fiushing. He quickly picked up his coffee cup, pretending to be calm, the hot liquid burning his tongue.
Evadne narrowed her eyes, puzzled by his cryptic statement.
Not backing–up Edith. Then who?
Jareth?
Well, wasn’t it still about Edith?
