His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 637
hapter 637
The snarl on Avery’s face was feral, a mask of wolfish malice that he no longer cared to conceal.
To him, Matthew was a defeated underling, barely worthy of attention.
“So your sudden return is all about revenge against the Chambers family?” Matthew raged, his voice reaching a feverish pitch. “You orchestrated the downfall of Byron and Myra? And now, you’re coming after me? You despicable cur!”
Shaking with fury and on the verge of collapse, he spat out, “I’ll tell Dad! I’ll expose every underhanded deed you’ve done! I’ll show him the treacherous snake you truly are!”
“Bertha’s prison stint? What’s that got to do with me? That was Thaddeus and the Ashbourne family’s doing. And Byron? They conspired to bring him down, not me,” Avery chuckled at Matthew’s panicked expression. “Besides, do you really think you have any credibility left with Dad? He can barely stand the sight of you. Why would he believe your tall tales?”
Avery’s laughter sent a chill down Matthew’s spine.
He had underestimated the black sheep, the outcast of the family who had been sidelined by their father. He thought Avery, without any foundation in the company or Elmaworth, could never pose a threat.
Yet, after fifteen years of stealthy plotting, Avery had returned and ensnared them all in his web, leaving them powerless to fight. back.
When did this once pliable pretty boy turn into a ruthless predator, a shark that devoured his prey whole? Whose powerful coattails was he riding on now?
“Son of a bitch! I’ll cut you down!”
Matthew’s eyes blazed with a furious red as he awung his fist towards Avery’s face. Just then, the conference room door swung open.
“Mr. Avery, Mr. Jeff would like to see you now,” Jeff’s secretary gestured politely.
With a forceful shove that sent Matthew stumbling, Avery lifted his chin in arrogant triumph and sauntered into the office.
The door shut behind him, leaving Matthew to realize he hadn’t tended to his injuries, which left him clutching his head in pain, slumped on the fioor.
Inside, Jeff was swiftly downing his nitroglycerin pills at the sight of Avery.
When Jeff tucked the medicine bottle away, Avery began, “Dad, Matthew was just misguided. And those injured folks, they were already out of danger. Who could’ve guessed they wouldn’t make it?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAvery moved behind Jeff, patting his back in a soothing gesture. “Life is unpredictable, Dad. Don’t beat yourself up. I’ve already sent someone with money to the hospital in Country T to take care of the victims. We’ll do whatever it takes to mitigate the fallout from this disaster.”
“Avery!”
Jeff clung to his arm like a lifeline. “You’ve always been the most capable, the most promising of my children. You have to help me out of this mess. You managed to get that big project in Helgen back on track when no one else could. You’re competent, surely you have a plan?”
A slight smile played on Avery’s lips as he spoke softly, “Dad, you guessed right. I do have a plan.”
“Really? What do you propose?”
“If you want me to pull the Chambers Group out of this fire, I just need one thing from you–make me the CEO of the Chambers Group.”
Jeff was taken aback, his heart skipping a beat despite the medication.
With Matthew’s downfall, he was out of options, except for Avery. And Avery had the talent to take over, to hold his own against the likes of Cassius and Thaddeus.
But he wasn’t Jeff’s chosen successor.
Circumstances had cornered him, forcing his hand to choose Avery.
“Fine, I agree!”
Jeff clenched his fist, steeling his resolve. “Solve this debacle, and I’ll convene a board meeting immediately to elect you the new CEO of the Chambers Group!”

Chapter 637
Avery’s smile was enigmatic as he took a seat calmly before Jeff. “Dad, we’re both businessmen. We know promises are worthless without action. Make me CEO, and I assure you, all of our current troubles will disappear.”
Jeff’s gaze darkened, “Does that include Cassius?”
Avery didn’t fiinch. “The Chambers Group has been sabotaged time and again, and Cassius must be behind it. Even if you didn’t ask, I wouldn’t stand by and let the
Ashbourne family trample over ours.”
“Oh?” Jeff eyed him suspiciously. “Evadne is the woman you’ve been clamoring to marry, and Cassius is her brother. Can you really bring yourself to move against him?”
Avery shrugged helplessly. “I’ve always been one to separate personal feelings from business.”
“Ah, such a clear distinction between business and personal, Jeff responded, satisfied with the answer. He slapped his hand heavily on Avery’s shoulder, pressing down with expectation. “Avery, I’m getting old, and Matthew is useless. The future of the Chambers Group rests on you.”
“Thank you for your trust, Dad. I won’t let you down.”
Avery paused, then added in a lowered voice, “Dad, I hope you’ll keep our conversation today between us, The less people know of the plan, the higher our chances of success.”
Three days later, the Chambers Group held a board meeting.
Led by Jeff, and with overwhelming support, Avery crushed Matthew’s hopes and was appointed the new CEO of the Chambers Group.
Simultaneously, the company’s official website announced the appointment, and the media followed suit, confirming and publicizing the seismic shift.
The Chambers Group had a new leader at the helm.
Avery had finally achieved what he had set out for.
In accordance with Chambers Group tradition, the inauguration of a new CEO should have been a grand affair, but considering the current PR storm swirling around the company, not to mention a recent fatality that had tongues wagging, a lavish celebration would have been in poor taste.
So they opted for simplicity.
But Avery couldn’t have cared less.
He had the power he’d coveted. Now, with the reins of Chambers Group firmly in his grasp, he could shape the company’s future as he saw fit.
And the more power he wielded, the easier it would be to fulfill the tasks his mentor had laid out for him.
While the public fanfare was muted, Harvey went all out at The Velvet Haven, throwing a soiree that could rival a coronation in its opulence and extravagance!
“Mr. Chambers, congratulations! You’ve officially taken the reins as the CEO of Chambers Group!” Harvey gushed, nearly tripping over his words in excitement.
“Mr. Chambers. Now, that’s a title that could still use some polishing. I won’t truly be content until you become the Chairman,” Avery replied with a sly grin, his eyes twinkling mischievously as he nonchalantly poured a million–dollar bottle of vintage wine as if it were mere tap water.
Below him, a man groveled at his feet like a dog, eagerly catching the spilled wine in his open mouth, choking and gasping, his face turning tomato–red, yet still attempting to look thrilled and pleased.
Avery had a knack for manipulation, both in business and in personal games.
In The Velvet Haven, everything under the sun played second fiddle to him.
“Jeff is just a figurehead, a chairman in name only. Who’s really calling the shots? You are,” Harvey beamed with pride. “Oh, and by the way, Sir sent a priceless royal vase
from the homeland. It’s worth twice as much as the last gift you sent him. His esteem for you is crystal clear!”
Avery’s face lit up with joy, “When Sir makes a move, it’s always extraordinary.”
“That’s not all. Sir also sent over the medicine you requested. He said whether it’s a gift or medicine, once it’s in your hands, it’s yours to do with as you please to give to whoever you see fit,” Harvey hinted, with a knowing look in his eye.
Avery’s gaze, hidden behind gold–rimmed glasses, was inscrutable.
“Furthermore, per your instructions, I’ve discreetly reached out to the mayor of a city in Country T and a couple of infiuential

politicians. We’ve shown them our good faith. You can set a date to fiy to Country T and meet with them,” Harvey added.
“Good job,” Avery said, casually glancing down at the glittering crowd below, his eyes catching sight of Elsie sitting alone in a corner, looking like a breathtaking statue of beauty.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOnce, she had been the life of the party, her eyes sultry, her presence dazzling.
Now, she exuded a cold and out–of–place melancholy that irked Avery to no end.
“I’ve got some business to handle these next few days. Have Elsie meet with the clients on my behalf,” Avery said with an icy coolness.
Harvey gasped, “Ms. Archer, on her own? You mean to have her.”
“Some men are swayed by power, others by lust. In my years in the business, I’ve yet to meet a man who could resist a beautiful
woman.”
Avery spoke with disdain and sarcasm, “Even a saint like Thaddeus, what do you think he sees in Evadne? It’s her beauty that he’s after.
“You’re absolutely right. That Thaddeus is just a dirty man! Poor Evadne, like pearls before swine!” Harvey agreed.
“I’m different from Thaddeus. I love Evadne for her soul. I’ve been by her side since we were kids. I know her, cherish her, understand her far better than Thaddeus ever could,” Avery mused, picturing Evadne’s radiant smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
He thought, “Evadne, whether you love me or not doesn’t matter. I will be entwined with you. Until death do us part.”
When Evadne heard about Avery’s appointment as the CEO of Chambers Group, she was so furious she lost her appetite and couldn’t sleep a wink.
It wasn’t until the wee hours of the morning that she finally drifted off, nestled in the muscular arms of Thaddeus, her mind clouded with frustration.
Thaddeus had been shuttling between Elmsworth and Skyrim, busy as a bee.
Age had started to creep up on him, and he wasn’t as spry as in his twenties, so he fell into a deep slumber the moment his head hit the pillow.
“Ah!”
Evadne’s sharp scream jolted Thaddeus awake.
“Evadne! What’s wrong?”
Thaddeus‘ eyes snapped open, alert and tense as he pulled Evadne’s delicate form close.
“I’ve made a mess of the bed.”
Evadne pouted, her cheeks fiushed a rosy red as she rubbed her nose frustratingly against his sturdy chest, “The sheets, the blankets, my nightgown, they’re all dirty. Ugh, it’s so uncomfortable, so annoying!”
“Dirty? How did it get dirty?”
Thaddeus, still groggy from sleep, was slow on the uptake and asked in all seriousness, “You didn’t wet the bed, did you?”
