His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode
His Ex wife is a billionaire Chapter 765
Chapter 765
“Can’t even handle this simple task? There goes your bonus, huh?” Thad’s temples throbbed with barely contained fury.
“Thad, don’t panic. Let’s just take it slow,” Evadne said; her voice was calm in the storm.
“Glynnis left the hospital that day, and I had my guys tail her. They saw her being pulled into a white Bentley. She stayed in there for quite a while!”
Evadne felt a wave of unease wash over her.
Thad’s voice was icy cold. “Where did the car take her?”
“Nowhere special. It parked for a bit and then dropped her back off at her apartment. She didn’t leave the place for three days, not even taking out the trash. That’s when my guys got suspicious; we broke in, only to find she’d vanished without packing a single suitcase!”
“How about her passport and ID?” Evadne pressed.
“Gone too! It’s like she disappeared into thin air!”
Gordon’s voice cracked with desperation, “I had people watching the airport. She has no money, no passport, no ID. Where could she possibly run to? She can’t just stow away on a ship!”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Someone must have noted that white Bentley’s plate number. Text it to me. I’ll have my brother check it out.”
Evadne gripped his hand firmly. “This isn’t as straightforward as it seems. It must be someone who’s pulling the strings behind the scenes that helped Glynnis escape.
Thad, keep a close eye on Elmsworth for the next few days. I have a hunch Glynnis will try to make her way back there!”
Their fingers intertwined tightly. “If she comes back, she’s signing her own death warrant.”
“Maybe not this time.”
Evadne’s heart clenched as she analyzed the situation. “The fact that she left everything behind tellswhoever’s behind this is powerful enough to get her back to Elmsworth without a passport and without being detected. Think hard, Thad. Who could do that and would want to help Glynnis?”
Thad’s brooding gaze fiickered with a complex emotion.
When he looked back at Evadne, she beat him to the punch, “Could it be your brother, Chad?”
His grip on her hand tightened ever so slightly.
Because the nshe uttered was the very one he’d been considering.
“Miss, could it be Snakey Avery’s handiwork? He’s got the means,” Jason threw another ninto the hat.
Evadne shook her head slightly. “Think about it, Jason. With Snakey Avery’s cunning, would he not foresee that we’d have Glynnis under 24/7 surveillance here? We’ve got his number; he wouldn’t dare intervene so blatantly. No, whoever’s helping her is counting on us not being familiar with them, which would make it hard for us to trace them. That’s why I suspect Chad might be involved. Though I can’t fathom his motives, I can’t think of anyone else with the resources to pull this off.”
“If I were my brother, logically, I wouldn’t lift a finger to help Glynnis. First, I have no sibling affection for her, so I don’t need to trouble myself; second, with the Elspeth branch down, one less family member is a boon for the remaining Abernathys.”
Thad closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm the turmoil within. “But Evadne, your analysis makes sense If it was Chad, we’re momentarily powerless. Our best move is to capture Glynnis and interrogate her thoroughly before we make our next move.”

Chapter 765
Evadne pursed her lips, feeling an indescribable oppression.
Like him, she didn’t want to believe that Chad could be a monster like Avery, especially since Chad had once been Thad’s most trusted brother and his savior.
Thad’s life was a tapestry of pain and disappointment.
She too hoped that this this trust would not be betrayed.
The following day, Mrs. Fairhaven arrived at the hospital with Edith and a selection of carefully chosen gifts.
The atmosphere in the room was as frosty as an ice cellar.
Gary leaned against the headboard; his pale face was twisted with venom as he glared at the Mrs. Fairhaven and April.
Edith’s gaze lingered on his empty sleeve; her designer dress was soaked with cold sweat.

An ingrate!” April wailed, clutching at Mrs. Fairhaven’s collar in a frenzy, as if she was ready to fight to the death. “Gary is Jareth’s own uncle! Even if there were past issues, it didn’t warrant such cruelty! Why didn’t he just kill my man?!”
Edith, frozen in shock, couldn’t even move to defend her mother.
Mrs. Fairhaven, a woman of genteel upbringing, had never seen such a scene; with her hair disheveled, she broke into tears.
“I don’t care! What good are your apologies?”
Gary clutched his empty sleeve, his features twisting into something grotesque. “Unless you chop off Jareth’s arm and give it to me, nothing you do will make up for it!”
“Dad! Jareth’s turned Gary into a cripple and took away all his shares! Why haven’t you dealt with that scourge yet? Isn’t Gary your own fiesh and blood?!” April’s grief was palpable as she demanded answers.
“Enough! Shut it!” Barry finally roared, which silenced the room immediately.
April quieted down, standing aside and wiping away her tears.
“Dad. I really don’t know anything about what Jareth is up to outside.”
Mrs. Fairhaven, tear–stained and distraught, kept apologizing to the second branch of the family, “Gary, April. I’m so sorry. I’ll cover all Gary’s medical expenses.”
“Sorry. What use is that?”
Barry clenched his jaw, and blurted with a mix of fury and resignation in his voice. “He’s made his bed, now he has to lie in it! I told him not to push his luck with that Abernathy girl, but he was hell–bent on doing things his way, and he ended up crossing Jareth big time. He didn’t show Jareth an ounce of mercy first. Look where that got him. What does he expectto do now? Can I knock off Jareth to make amends? Or maybe wave a magic wand and make his arm grow back?!”
