Chapter 63 That afternoon, Nathan picked us up and drove us to a nearby park. The sun was was thick. Nathan was quiet, focused on the shining, but the tension in the can road, while Cyrus hummed softly in the backseat, oblivious to the undercurrent between the adults.
When we arrived at the park, Nath immediately began pulling out an absurd number of toys from his car. He presented them to Cyrus one by one, eager to win him over. But Cyrus, always polite, merely nodded and said, "Thank you," without much interest.
I stood off to the side, arms crossed, watching the entire display with growing impatience. The more Nathan tried, the more distant Cyrus became. The flashy toys meant nothing to him, and it was clear that Nathan's attempts to bond were falling flat.

"We're done here." As we started to walk away, I glanced back one last time. Nathan stood there, staring down at the toys he had brought, a look of quiet loss on his face. He picked up the one toy Cyrus had briefly touched, holding it in his hand as he gazed out at the park's peaceful scenery. Cyrus tugged on my sleeve as we walked, his wide eyes looking up atwith curiosity. "Does this person have anything to do with you?" he asked, his voice soft but insistent.
I felt the tension rise insidebut kept my expression calm. "You have nothing to do with him," I said firmly, locking eyes with him to ensure he understood. It Chapter 63 wasn't a conversation I was ready to dive into. After a brief pause, Cyrus nodded, sensing that I didn't want to say more. I was relieved when he didn't push further.
The rest of the morning passed in our usual routine-taking care of Cyrus, organizing meals, and preparing for the day. My schedule didn't leave much room for reflection, and that was probably for the best. Once I finished, I met Blair, my business partner, to take our PACK members to the factory we worked with.
The PACK members, eager and full of energy, were already waiting when I arrived. Blair greetedwith his usual relaxed smile. "Ready to take them to work?" he asked, his voice filled with a blend of humor and pride.
I nodded, a soft smile forming on my lips as I watched the PACK members chatting among themselves. "They've been looking forward to this." At the factory, they worked earnestly, showing focus and commitment. I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride as I watched them move with purpose, eager to contribute. Blair stood beside me, observing quietly before speaking.
"You know," he said, turning his attention toward me, "when I first met you, I thought you were just a petulant Luna. You seemed like someone used to being protected by your Alpha." His words, while blunt, were softened by his tone. I chuckled, knowing how far I had csince those days. "Is that so?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
Blair grinned. "Yeah, but I didn't realize how wrong I was. Today, you've grown into such a good Alpha. Not only do you manage the PACK members well, but you've brought them along to start a business. That's not something many could do." Hearing his words warmedin a way I didn't expect. It was nice to know that someone had noticed the changes I'd gone through, the strength I had developed along the way. "Thanks, Blair. I couldn't have done it without you and the PACK. We've all grown together." Chapter 63
We continued chatting warmly as the day went on, sharing stories and plans for the future. It felt good to talk to someone who understood the journey we had been on. By the tthe workday ended, the PACK members had gained valuable experience, and I was content with what we had accomplished.

But before he could reach me, he spotted Carlos standing near the entrance. Without a second thought, Cyrus ran over and hugged Carlos's leg, his face filled with that familiar pout he always used when he wanted attention.
"I missed you," Cyrus said, holding on tight.
Carlos looked down at him, his expression softening in a way I had only seen when he was around Cyrus. "Missed you too, little one," he replied, gently patting Cyrus's head.
I smiled as I walked over, scooping Cyrus into my arms. "Looks like you've found yourself a new friend," I teased.
Carlos gavea small smile, but before he could respond, Vesta appeared with a playful grin. "Carlos treats you two differently, you know," NO she said, glancing betweenand him. "He hardly ever comes to the nursery unless you're here, Doris. And when he does, he doesn't let any of the other kids get near him. But with Cyrus, it's different."
