With Grant's untimely demise, the plan was halted. The news broke out about his death, which led to many uncertainties among the masses.
It was a big deal, so much so that the Prime Minister had to address the public. She disclosed all the information behind the scenes of the case.
Some things were excluded from her report, but the clever ones got the message. Some high-level arrests also happened, and everyone connected to it would be subjected to a trial.
Theresa's approval rating grew leaps and bounds with the public sentiment behind her. She had cemented herself after her appointment.
Clark also received wide praise for his involvement in the case and his team. Liam was forced out, and he took his place as the Director of the bureau.
Every Orphanage which was under the Fremen foundation came under scrutiny. Several more names came up, but it would take time because it was outside the scope of the government.
They had to work with international organizations, which required a myriad of work and diplomacy. It was finally time for Samuel to take action and fulfill his promise.
" Do you need any help? If it is too much for you, the family can take care of it." Robert, who knew about his son's next move, made an offer.
It would be difficult for Samuel to take a dozen Orphanage homes along with their broken finances. So he thought, but Samuel would not back out now.
He had never stopped amassing wealth and setting up his companies; he even prepared beforehand and made an exclusive entity that would be responsible for charity work.

" It's only been two weeks since you knew about it. I don't expect you to have prepared for it."
" That may be true but my end goal has not changed. I have already told you before, I want to create something so that unfortunate children like me have something to lean on."
Robert didn't know what to say to that. He sighed and accepted the arrangement.
" Have you thought of a name?"
" Yes, Verdant which symbolises green. In the memory of the person who gave me my sight." Samuel said while touching his eyelids.
" I hope it will grow up into a beautiful tree." Robert smiled. His son was very thoughtful and never forgot others' grace.
" Yes, please watch over me."

[ Cole's POV]
I still remember the first time I met a big brother. I only had one thought when I saw him.
How can someone smile so brightly? Why was that person glowing?
It's not like I had never seen a smile before, but I grew weary of them over the years.
My parents, who left me alone, also smiled before they left me, assuring me that they would come back.
My relatives also smiled when they said they would look after me.
The adult at the Orphanage also smiled when they took away my friends.
But his smile was different, like a person basking in the sunlight. People around him were also kind. They gave me food, and I even made a friend.
Although Hannah was a few years older than me, she lived carefreely and enjoyed every moment. She was also strict when I did something wrong; sometimes, I felt her kindness, while she would drag me around other times.
Somehow, that never bothered me. I always felt she never had any bad intentions like the others.
Because of her, I could meet someone like big brother. She also told me that he was a very talented and influential person.
I was delighted when he promised to take care of my problems. I had to admit it, but I completely believed him. Even though we were strangers, he gave me hope for the future.
It must have been ten days since I saw him again. Even though he was walking among the adults, they always stayed a few steps behind him.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt showed that they respected him dearly. As soon as he entered the Orphanage, he gave various orders. People came in droves and began to fix things.
The broken faucet in the hallway, dirty beds, etc., he even fired most of the people who were looking after us.
Within a few days, most of the problems of my 'home' was fixed. He also played with us.
I mentioned him to my friends and told him about our promise. They were doubtful even when I showed them the toy he gave me. They had no choice but to accept it when they met him.
While other people worked, he played with us. He even promised to provide us new toys! It was unheard of; we never received new things.
He came as a wind and left like one, but before it, he promised to visit again, and this time he also said he would bring Hannah.
Hannah had shown me her home, and with these changes, I also wanted to see mine!
The next time he came, a big celebration was held. Everyone cheered for him for bringing lots of things with him. Hannah also looked surprised when she first saw it.
She fit right in with us. And we were scheduled to have a big meal that day; the most enormous table was set in the backyard, and memorable were present to cook our meal.
I had never seen it with my own eyes, but they looked skillful while they prepared the food. We tried to steal some but were instantly caught by someone.
We were almost ready it eat, but suddenly, Big brother rushed toward someone.
No one knew why but that's when disaster struck. I know that with this much happiness, even the Gods were jealous. It must be why this tragedy happened.
Why? Is it some sort of curse? How can anyone explain this?
After that, there was a big commotion; panic, fear, and other emotions went out of control when they witnessed the red light.
Only one thought came to my mind, " God have not abandoned us yet."
