I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World
Chapter 207 - Five Subordinates"I was actually just wondering about this, Master," Fenriri gazed at Albion's broken phone curiously before asking, "What are phones, exactly?"
"Communication devices that can connect with the rest of the world," Albion stated.
"Ah?"
Fenriri exclaimed with a startling cry.
Her eyes quickly flickered with an understanding look before she muttered, "To think we overlooked such a serious issue…"
"Can't really blame you. Your people are not familiar with human technology," Albion said before stating, "However, now that you know, you should get people to take them away."
"Mm, I'll have it done right away, Master!"
Shortly after Fenriri went to relay her orders to a wolf-person, Albion glanced over to Fenrira, who he had not left her from his abilities' effective range.
Seeing that the wolf-men were not playing any tricks, he shifted his attention back on the rest of the prisoners and said, "Same deal. Your allegiance or your wealth?"
"Why does a monk need so much money and people? Are you planning to start a war or something?" a B-rank Hunter asked with surprise.
Albion's expression immediately darkened at the hunter's words before he deprived the person's right to negotiate his freedom.
"You f*cked up, boy. You ain't leaving no more. No, you're staying in there for good," Albion stated grudgingly.
The hunter was immediately stunned.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Eh? W-Why? What did I do?"
The hunter quickly queried with a panicking expression, but he was ultimately ignored as Albion no longer paid attention to the person—treating the hunter like air.
A female hunter shook her head and said, "Have you ever seen a monk in a black suit behaving like this? This handsome person is more likely to be a hitman or something."
"Oh?"
Albion glanced over with sudden interest and broke the lock, freeing the female hunter from her cage.
It was so sudden that the female hunter stayed inside her cage and glanced back at Albion suspiciously, uncertain of his intention.
"I like you," Albion stated before gesturing with his hand for her to exit the cage, "You're free to leave."
"Just like that?" the female hunter was surprised.
"Just like that." Albion nodded.
Shortly after the female hunter expressed her pleasant surprise and gratitude, she quickly took her leave and departed the stronghold while the rest of the prisoners suddenly lit up with an idea.
"Hey, handsome brother. Can we also leave like that?"
"Brother, you're very handsome. Can we also leave?"
The hunters requested coquettishly before Albion felt his skin crawling with goosebumps before he spat, "F*ck off."
"Huh?"
The hunters were stunned.
There were so certain that their plan would succeed just now, but it ultimately failed. After a bit of thought, the male hunters realized that they had made an error in their decision.
The person did not really care about being called handsome. The person just hates being mistaken for a monk.
Sometime later, Fenrira returned to Albion's side before he casually asked, "Finished your interrogation?"
"Yes, Master," Fenrira answered respectfully and informing Albion of her findings, "My father is still safe. He has yet to crossover to this world. However, two of my brothers have already fallen for my uncle's scheme."
"It as you guessed, Master. My uncle's ambition has festered after arriving in this world and intends to replace my father's position in the Iceborn Wolf Tribe."
"And so, what will you do about it?" Albion asked.
"I want to stop my uncle from succeeding and save my tribesmen from being sacrificed for his foolish cause," Fenrira stated determinedly before she hesitated to add, "However, my strength, alone, is far from adequate into stopping my uncle…"
"I hope Master can lend me your strength and stop my uncle," Fenrira sincerely requested with her head lowered.
It was unknown how powerful her uncle had become after hunting down numerous high-level hunters in the Glacia continent.
As such, she could only turn to her master for help.
Seeing how sincere and docile Fenrira was behaving, Albion could have been fooled into believing she was actually a well-behaved lady—had he not experienced her thug-like talk firsthand.
"My strength, I will naturally lend to you," Albion stated before saying, "But first, I will settle these humans."
"Yes, Master! Thank you!"

Albion quickly made his rounds around the stronghold.
He offered the same deal to every prisoner before he eventually collected five new subordinates and roughly 800-million dollars in wealth.
"Only five out of fifty prisoners were willing to pledge allegiance to me, huh?" Albion muttered while looking at the five new subordinates in front of him.
None of them had the looks nor the aura of a hunter that regularly fights on the frontline by the Dimension Rifts.
"You!" Albion singled out the first subordinate and asked, "What is your name, and what was your occupation in this stronghold?"
"My name is Francis, my Lord. This subordinate was a biogenetic researcher at the lab in this stronghold," the first subordinate answered humbly with his head lowered.
"Biogenetic researcher? Francis?" Albion paused for a moment before he scrutinized the person's face and asked, "You don't happen to know any dual-wielding sword-user in red suit hunting you, do you?"
"Eh?" Francis froze in shock before he quickly asked in a panic, "I don't, my Lord! Is there really someone like that out there looking for me? Did someone put money on my head in the hitman agency?"
"Ahem, probably not," Albion coughed and said, "Don't worry. It was just a joke. I must have seen too many superhero movies."
Despite what Albion said, the biogenetic researcher did not feel assured at all and began wondering who he pissed off so badly that they would hire a hitman after him.
Nevertheless, Albion was not concerned about the researcher's thoughts and moved onto the next subordinate.
"What about you?" Albion asked the second person in line.
"My name is Charlie. I was the head artificer in this stronghold's weapon factory," the second subordinate answered.
"A Charlie this time, huh?" Albion rubbed his chin thoughtfully before asking, "Do you have three angels?"
"Three angels?" Charlie repeated in surprise before he recalled his three daughters back at home on the Aurora continent and nodded, "I do have three little angels back at home. You know about know my daughters, my Lord?"
Charlie gazed at Albion with doubt.
"Ahem, that was also a joke.. I didn't know you had three daughters," Albion coughed before he sighed inwardly, "No one ever understands my references."
