Chapter 460 Like A Balloon
Skylar's feet were firmly fixed to the ground. Jonathan put his arms around Skylar and gave a hard pull.
He was performing a move called Reversing Willow.
In an instant, the ground cracked open, and Jonathan managed to pull Skylar out of the ground. Skylar was still
standing erect like a statue. Jonathan carried Skylar up and hit his waist with his knee.
It was as if he was breaking a stick into two. Jonathan was extremely strong.
Crack!
The ice on Skylar's body began to crack.
All of a sudden, Skylar opened his eyes. His bonds had been broken by Jonathan.
At the same time, Skylar launched his attack. He struck Jonathan's chest with his palm. His movement was so fast
and powerful. The old Jonathan would have succumbed to his attack.
However, Jonathan's cultivation had increased tremendously and reached the third level of the Immortal Stage.
His strength, reaction, and body were stronger than before.
Skylar was just as quick as ever, but he was no longer fast enough for Jonathan.
With a move of his hands, Jonathan sent Skylar flying.
Before Skylar could land on the ground, Jonathan had already flown in front of Skylar and attacked him with his
palm.
That strike was powerful enough to destroy a mountain. Skylar could not react in time. He slammed to the ground
because of the impact.
Jonathan then stomped his head.
He had no mercy for Skylar. Although Skylar was hit by Jonathan's palm, he showed no signs of injury. Instead, he
moved his head aside and evaded Jonathan's kick. He then rolled aside and got up swiftly.
Jonathan took a step forward and punched Skylar in his throat.
Skylar stumbled three steps back.
Again, there was no reaction from him. Skylar stood there and stared at Jonathan coldly.
Jonathan was slightly shocked. After all, he knew that his earlier attacks were sufficient to kill a man ten times over.
Yet, Skylar was still all right.
Don't tell me his body has become flawless like Wretched’s. Perhaps the more injury he sustains, the more he
evolves?
If this is the case, there's no way I can kill Skylar even though I have reached the third level of the Immortal Stage!
Just then, Skylar spoke up in Theos' sweet voice. “This puppet primordial spirit of mine is perfect. The more injuries

think that you have nothing to worry about after absorbing that b*tch's dragon essence ball?”
Jonathan's expression turned grim.
Knowing that there was no other way out, he did not say anything else.
There was nothing left to say. He would have to fight it out. Jonathan charged forward with lightning speed and sent
a punch at Skylar's head.
Skylar took one step back before throwing a punch of his too.
When both their punches met, the impact sent Skylar moving three steps back. Jonathan moved forward and threw
three consecutive punches.
After that, Skylar retreated another ten steps back.
The vitality in Jonathan's body was running wild, but Jonathan could not care less. He continued to unleash the
Dragon Claw Grab. His movement was very swift and accurate. It was obvious that Skylar could not withstand his
attacks. Unfortunately, Skylar remained unharmed even though Jonathan had his hand around his throat.
Furthermore, Skylar's cells continued to evolve under Jonathan's constant attacks.
A ferocious fight ensued between the two men.
Twenty minutes later, Skylar's cultivation had gone one level up. Once again, their fists met. This time, they were
evenly matched, and Jonathan was unable to drive him back anymore.
If the fight went on, Jonathan was worried that he would turn this puppet primordial spirit into an exceptional state.
If that happened, Jonathan would no longer be Skylar's match. Both Torrence and he would die.
For now, there was nothing Skylar could do if Jonathan escaped.
However, that would mean certain death for Torrence. Skylar's cultivation level was now the same as that of
Jonathan's, so there was no way Jonathan could take Torrence and escape together. With Torrence on his back,
Jonathan would die even faster.
What should I do? Jonathan was now faced with a new predicament. If he could not think of a solution, he would
definitely meet his end.
No! There's no way that this puppet primordial spirit is the same as Wretched. Wretched is the one and only miracle
that exists every thousand years. He can co-exist with Theos. There is no way Theos can create one just like that.
Besides, Skylar is a mere mortal. There must be a limit to how much his cells can evolve! If I force him to his limits,
Skylar will self-explode like a balloon and die!
In truth, Wretched's body was also similar to a balloon. The more spirit one put into its body, the stronger its spirit
became.
However, there was a limit to a balloon. It would explode once it reached its limit.
Jonathan felt that even though Wretched had limits, it would be quite extreme, and most people would not be able
to reach them. As for Skylar, it would be a different story.
That was the only way out for Jonathan, and he would have to give it a try.
At that point, a hint of frostiness flashed across Jonathan's eyes. With another roar, he charged forward again. He
launched another attack at Skylar—Rolling Thunder Punch.
Boom!
Jonathan gave everything he got. He was so vigorous in his assault that his eyes had turned blood red.
He went on to rain punches on his opponent.
Jonathan carried on to spend all of his energy like a man who had lost his mind.
Under the constant attack of Jonathan, Skylar's cells continued to evolve, and he became stronger.
Bang!
At the very last moment, Skylar punched Jonathan so hard that it sent him flying.
Jonathan fell to the ground, and he started to see stars.
The series of attacks had exhausted too much of his energy. At that moment, he was dead tired.
His body ached all over.
Despite that, Jonathan did not utter a single sound because he did not sustain any internal injuries.
In fact, his strength was recovering rapidly. That was the beauty of the Immortal Stage.
However, his recovery speed was nothing compared to Skylar's.
Skylar sneered, “You lowly sc*m! You had plenty of chances to escape. Yet, you chose to fight me. That's so foolish
of you. Now, prepare to die!”
Jonathan grew silent.
There was a murderous intent in Skylar's eyes. The very next moment, he charged at Jonathan.
All the while, Torrence was looking on. When he saw what was happening, he was filled with sorrow. Tears began to
flood his eyes. He knew he was about to lose Jonathan forever.
But would Jonathan really perish?
Just as Skylar was about to kill him, Jonathan suddenly brandished a fire talisman. The fire talisman flew toward
Skylar, but Skylar had no regard for it. He swung his arm in order to slash the flame away from him.
Right then, Skylar's head exploded, and blood splashed everywhere.
Next, the same thing happened to Skylar's body as well.
In that instant, Skylar's physical body ceased to exist. Pieces of flesh, organs, and blood flew in every direction!
That bloody and horrifying scene was disgusting.
In the end, Skylar was reduced to bits and pieces.
That puppet primordial spirit had been utterly destroyed.
Torrence was dumbstruck by what he saw. He had no idea how the powerful Skylar could be annihilated by a piece

Jonathan took a deep breath. It was a close shave. That move was the last resort.
By then, his body had recovered, and he managed to stand up. Even though the fight had taken a toll on him, he
had no issue with walking for now.
Jonathan walked up to Torrence.
He took a look at Demon Dragon behind Torrence and noticed that the creature was already dead.
Torrence knew about Demon Dragon, but he asked, “What happened? How did you destroy the puppet primordial
spirit?”
To that, Jonathan explained, “It's simple. The cells in Skylar's body were not strong enough, and they had already
reached their ultimate limits like full-blown balloons. At that time, one slight touch and an explosion will happen.
That fire talisman burned the cells of his arm and started a chain reaction. That's why Skylar's body exploded.”
Realization dawned upon Torrence. “How do you know that will happen?”
Jonathan smiled nonchalantly and pointed at his brain. “That's because I'm intelligent!”
Torrence also chuckled. Although Jonathan was being very cocky right now, Torrence could not deny that Jonathan
was indeed very clever. He then changed the topic. “When you were fighting with Skylar, Clarissa passed away. She
wanted us to take good care of Clarabelle.”
Sadness filled Jonathan's heart. “That goes without saying.” He paused for a while before he continued, “Let me
check on Clarabelle first.”
Torrence nodded.
In truth, Jonathan had no idea where Clarabelle was. However, he focused his attention and detected a weak life
force. Finally, he found a gigantic egg at the end of Demon Dragon.
It was huge. Jonathan had never seen an egg of that size.
The egg was a meter long and half a meter wide.
The shell was yellow in color and covered with many spots.
It was the legendary dragon egg.
Jonathan carried the egg up, and it was still covered with a sticky substance. It was quite heavy, and Jonathan
carried it with some difficulty. He had spent too much energy in the fight earlier on.
Jonathan went back to Torrence with the egg. “Yeverie is still waiting for me outside. There's no way I can take
Clarabelle and you with me together.”
“My injuries are quite severe and will take a month to recover.”
Jonathan chuckled. “You have become a burden to me again. Aren't you worried that I will chuck you here and let
you die alone?”
To that, Torrence smiled faintly and replied, “That has never crossed my mind.”
That was how much he trusted Jonathan. It also showed the kind of friendship they shared and the type of person
Jonathan was.
