Chapter 54 Call From The Representative Of Saudi’s Crown Prince
Ben looked around the coffee shop before he moved his head closer to Arlan. "Mr. Roa, I do have automatic weapons, but I don't have a lot of them. Maharlika is quite strict with their firearm regulations so I only managed to get my hands on a few dozen of them." He then took out an iPad and showed him the pictures of the automatic weapons he had.
Arlan smiled faintly at Ben as he took the iPad. 'This guy is daring. He even smuggled automatic weapons to Maharlika.' He thought to himself as he browsed through the images.
There were AK-47s, AR-15s, M4 Carbines, M16s, and a few other powerful firearms. He even got the A5 version of the M40 sniper rifle which was introduced in 2009.
Arlan's eyes lit up when he saw the M40A5 sniper rifle. "You have some nice weapons here, Mr. Hidalgo. Alright, I won't beat around the bush with you. I want 1 M40A5 sniper rifle, 3 M4 Carbines, and 3 Level IV bulletproof vests. I also want 3...,"
Arlan stated all the equipment they needed for the operation.
"And lastly, 5 bullet rounds for each gun I ordered."
Ben listed everything he ordered and calculated their total cost. "Mr. Roa, everything you ordered is 885,000 pesos." He muttered with a beaming smile.
Arlan nodded his head. It was more expensive than the market price, but he knew that Ben had to increase his price because he was also risking his safety in this transaction. "I will send you half of the payment for now. I will send you the other half after the weapons are delivered."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Alright. That sounds good." Ben gave him his bank details and Arlan immediately paid him half the total amount.
"It's a pleasure to do business with you, Mr. Hidalgo. This might not be our last business transaction." Arlan laughed lightly as he shook hands with Ben.
"I'm happy to hear that, Mr. Roa." Ben chuckled at his words. He wondered why Arlan needed the weapons, but he knew that it wasn't a good idea to ask this.
"Khalon, Karl... please escort Mr. Hidalgo and bring back our weapons to the villa." Arlan said while looking at the two people behind him.
Ben became nervous when he heard this, but he pretended to be fine. He didn't want to be in close proximity to Khalon, but he had no choice since it was his client's order.
"I hope I see you again soon, Mr. Hidalgo." Arlan waved his hand as he watched them leave the coffee shop.
Now that he had taken care of the equipment problem, he decided to go back to the villa.
Arlan notified Krizia and his parents before leaving the hotel in a taxi.
Taxis aren't allowed to enter the Royal Territory so he asked the bald guard, Marco Bernal, to take him back to the villa.
"Thanks a bunch, man." After they arrived at the Lake View Villa, Arlan thanked Marco.
"You're always welcome, Mr. Roa." Marco smiled at him.
Arlan alighted the vehicle and gave Marco a salute. 'Luckily, I befriended those guards or I would have taken a long walk.' He thought to himself as he headed inside the villa.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Arlan grabbed his phone from his pocket and answered the call. "Hello, this is Arlan Dominic Roa speaking."
"Hello, Mr. Roa! I am Ehsan Asghar, the representative of His Highness Mohammad bin Salam. I would like to inform you that the super yacht, Serene, has already docked in Pier 2, Manila. As for the relevant documents, they will be delivered to your home address within two days." The caller spoke in English, but his Arabic accent was very thick. However, Arlan didn't make fun of him for he was someone who couldn't even speak English a few weeks ago.
"Oh? So it's about this. Alright, thank you for informing me. I will visit the pier soon to check my new yacht." Arlan answered. He remembered that he claimed the super yacht together with 9 other rewards from the red packets recently.
"You're welcome, Mr. Roa. His Highness said that you are welcome to visit him in Saudi any time."
"Haha! Please inform His Highness that I will visit him soon." Arlan spoke pleasantries with Ehsan for over five minutes before he disconnected the call. People had prejudices about Arabs, but he thought that they were good people.
He was in a good mood after his conversation with the Saudi crown prince's representative. Now that his yacht has arrived, he could try traveling into the sea more often with his family.
Upon entering the villa, Jonas and the other employees greeted him eagerly. "Good morning, boss!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Good morning." He smiled at them. "Have you guys eaten breakfast?"
"Yes, boss!"
"Yes, boss! Thank you for your concern."
Arlan chatted with the employees briefly before he headed to his room.
At 2:47 p.m., Karl and Khalon returned to the villa. Arlan quickly went down to see them.
"Where are the weapons?" He asked Karl.
"Everything is inside the vehicle, boss. Do you want to check everything?" Karl who was still in the driver's seat pointed at the back seat.
"Of course." Arlan answered as he excitedly opened the car door. On top of the back seat were the guns and the other equipment he ordered from Ben. Arlan grabbed one of the M4 Carbines and studied it carefully. "This is the real deal. I wonder where Ben got these weapons from..." He muttered.
"Boss, that guy is a crafty one. I bet you lost out on that deal with him. You can buy these weapons at a lower price somewhere." Karl remarked.
"I know, but we don't have time to look for another seller. Besides, I don't lack money." Arlan chuckled as he put the M4 Carbine back in its case.
Karl chuckled when he heard his words.
"Bring these weapons somewhere more discreet and don't let the others see them." Arlan commanded.
