Main Character System!

Even after Arnark's death, the status of the Main Character System didn't diminish in the slightest. After all, undoubtedly, it was the only System that everyone was aware could take on the entire System World as an individual.

And possibly win!

One thing had to be noted. Even Compass Carburettor, at his strongest, only rivalled Arnark who was at the peak of Grade 1.

Yes, Grade 1. The Main Character System remained at level 99. And even at that level, Arnark had enough power to swat Grade 3 Systems and even interfere in the fight between Technocraft, Mystique, Reincarnation System, and Transmigration System.

He dared to steal Mystique's property—the egg Zaira had conceived—from under his watch and slam him away. Arnark did that and lived to tell the tale, against Mystique.

Arnark ramped through the Multiverse as a Grade 1 System. No other existence was capable of the same.

Main Character, the Protagonist, the centre of a story, the pillar; that was the concept embodied by the Main Character System.

What if, Arnark were to reach Grade 2? How many would be his opponent? Probably only Zaira and Mystique. Then, what about Grade 3? Would anyone even be able to face him then?

Whether it was Arnark's allies or enemies, everyone was aware of that. That was why, none intended him to attain Grade 2, for no one would be able to stop him by then.

And now, that unprecedented seat was vacant. The seat of the Main Character System.

"If I were to become that…" Just the thought alone plunged it into unending euphoria. Hunter System? Faster growing Grade 2 System? Potentially one of the strongest Grade 3 Systems in the future? Who cares?

None of them meant shit before the Main Character System. The moment this thought erupted in the Hunter System's mind, it couldn't sit still anymore.

It then thought of its experiences, "Only when facing a terrifying enemy and surviving would a Host of mine prove himself as a protagonist. That means…"

The Hunter System began to iterate the enemies that satisfied the criteria, "Mascot, Technocraft, and Mystique."

Right as it iterated the list, a thought unseeingly surged in its mind, "Wait, the Representative System can control the Genre Representatives. Hence, Zaira forbade us from facing the Genre Representatives. For as long as we accumulate more strength, we can turn even Mystique into our subordinate."

"Therefore, we only have to take a defensive stance towards them and wait until the Representative System grows strong enough." Even though the Representative System fell to Grade 3, Zaira still had a plan to reinstate Slayer to Grade 4 status.

"That means, I can only face my peers." Thinking of that, the Hunter System came to a realistic scenario, "Since Grade 2 Systems already make our Hosts fight and devour each other, I'll just up the scales."

The Hunter System contacted Zaira, "I need to make a request."

It hurriedly relayed its thoughts to Zaira, saying, "Let my Hunters face the Hosts of all the Grade 2 Systems. I'll be able to farm the greatest volume of System Elixir. As long as I take in enough and evolve my Core Skill, I'll become the Main Character System. Even if I were to fail, I'll still end up within the Protagonist Genre."

"Is this okay with you?"

"Hahaha!" Zaira's laugh thundered through the communication channel, "Aim to become the Main Character System!"

"I'll take care of the arrangements."

With that, the communication was cut off as immediately, Zaira kicked the Representative System awake, screaming into his ears, "Get to work!"

"Summon all your Genre Representatives."

"Okay," Slayer arrived at a void between some universes and summoned six Genre Representatives, saying, "Unleash your Genre Representation here."

"Here? Why?" Fluff asked in worry, "I just unleashed one recently in the fight against Magister. There's a risk of destabilising my worlds if I unleash…"

Koff!

Fluff began to cough intermittently as the Representative System fragment in her unleashed a punishment on her, causing her to feel pain as if she were a living being.

Among the ten Genre Representatives capable of unleashing a Genre Representation, Fluff was in the ninth place, only above Martial. But in terms of worlds, she had the highest, far surpassing all the other genres.

For hers was the Romance Genre.

Seeing her state, the other Genre Representatives were triggered but were unable to do anything.

Anak stared at Slayer silently, not saying anything. He wasn't like before, blindly trusting everything Slayer said. As the years passed, he had become a genuine Immortal.

So, his thoughts too had changed accordingly. After a minute of silence, he spoke slowly, "You want us to combine our Genre Representations into a unified world, right?"

"Are the Grade 2 Systems waging a war in it?"

Staring at the figure of Anak, Slayer saw Arnark's resemblance, faintly trembling in fear. After all, the more Immortal grew, the more the pressure on him as the Representative System became to maintain Anak as his Host.

And seeing as how Anak guessed the truth of the matter so quickly, Slayer became nervous, 'I should deprive the foundation of the Cultivation Worlds further. He shouldn't develop anymore. It's scary he figured out the crux of the matter just by seeing that I brought only the Genre Representatives.'

"Yes," Slayer announced.

"Fine," Without any delay, Anak focused on his worlds, feeling a mysterious power surge in him that he instantly suppressed, sealing it away before the Representative System fragment in his body could sense the changes, 'I see.'

He realised what it meant to be the Genre Representative of Cultivation Worlds, as Immortal.

Genre Representation—Myth Realisation!

The void was instantly replaced with a set of laws as billions of worlds formed. Among them appeared a central world where the majority of the universe's laws were focused, a pure Cultivation World.

Arak was next, unleashing his ultimate power as the worries of the previous Martial flooded his being.

Genre Representation—Pinnacle of Body-Mind Unity!

It was then followed by:

Tycoon—representative of the Urban Genre!

Phantom—representative of the Horror and Supernatural Genre!

Archivist—representative of the Historical Genre!

Fluff—representative of the Romance Genre!

Other than Mystique, Mascot, Technocraft, and Magister, the remaining 6 major Genre Representatives unleashed their Genre Representation, fusing the pinnacle of their essence into one world, turning into a battlefield for the Grade 2 Systems to have a royal rumble.
