"I'll save you." The Shaman King, now going by the name of Regriel as a Human Cartographer said as immediately, the map of the entire mausoleum flashed in his mind.
He extended his palm forward, condensing a magic circle that projected the map of the mausoleum as soon after, the projection morphed, displaying the runes forming its structure.
'He can peer into the secrets of this place?' Tehela was shocked, taking a second glance at Regriel. Cartographers were able to inherit information from the very land itself. But, it also varied based on their proficiency and sensitivity.
So, even Pseudo-Saints weren't able to inherit information from manmade structures like the Ruin of Amagoth.
But, Regriel proved otherwise, actually displaying the entirety of the secrets of the Ruin of Amagoth to her, showing that he wasn't your average Cartographer.
"It's this part, right?" He then pointed at a set of runes at the centre, asking Tehela, "Are these the ones that are preventing you from leaving this place?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Yeah, to break the seal, I'll need to either use its loopholes to seal someone else in my place or use the blood of a thousand people to dye the floor crimson, which also works in breaking the seal," Tehela said.
Originally, she was a Titan, and hence, the Ruin of Amagoth had been created to seal her, as a Titan. But once she turned into a Human, it was struggling to seal her, for that wasn't in its nature—to seal a Human.
So, as long as Tehela went through with her plan, she would be able to break out of the seal. But, Regriel's arrival made things easier, especially since he was able to pry into the secrets of the seal.
Regriel's eyes lit up as countless runes flashed through them before a subtle fluctuation emanated through the region, causing information streams to gush out and seep into the seal as suddenly, Tehela grunted before looking around in surprise, failing to sense the seals on her anymore.
"That's it?" She was surprised, staring at Regriel to see the other party sweating intensely in response, which was indeed the case as only now did Regriel understand the extent of strength he casually wielded as the Shaman King.
'Freaking overpowered!' He grunted as his mind worked in overdrive, using the information stream to redirect the sealing chains as he shouted at Tehela, "Quick! We should get out of this place before the chains grab you."
"But, the Demons should have surrounded this place, right? How would we escape even if we manage to exit the Ruin of Amagoth?" Tehela asked, having been thinking about this all along. She hadn't wholly become a Human after all.
So, she was still able to harness the power of her Pseudo-Relics. She had more than one in store, for that was the power of her System—Relic System.
Regriel pointed a finger at her as his mana transformed into a set of runes that seeped into her mind. This was the power of the Cartographer profession where they were able to transmit information regarding the terrain to others in an instant.
As Tehela had whipped out a Pseudo-Relic with the power of a Human Space Mage before, he wanted to see if she could do it again even in her current state. That was what he was relying upon.
Honestly, their escape plan was wonky at best. But, that was his intention too.
"Allow me! I'm a Space Mage!" Tehela said as she grabbed hold of Regriel and focused on the map of the terrain that appeared in her mind, locking onto a place in there as their figures disappeared.
The stalled sealing chains were able to move once again as they rushed towards the centre, failing to find Tehela as they thrashed about before moving forth.
"Another Magic Beast for the taking!" A Demon laughed, having just tamed a Grandmaster Magic Beast that proved pretty useful. But just as he was about to target another Magic Beast, mysterious chains drilled out of the ground and latched onto him.
He was only a Grandmaster Tamer and hence wasn't able to escape, vanishing as the chains dragged him towards the core where Tehela had been sealed all along.
But, it wasn't him alone as every Demon within the Ruin of Amagoth was captured by the chains and sealed.
It had been created to seal Tehela, a Pseudo-Saint Titan, a royalty at that, possessing both the professions of Calamity and Immortal. This was not to mention she was a System Host with multiple Pseudo-Relics.
Therefore, the amount of sealing strength required to seal her was enough to even trap a Saint. And now that such a strong power had nothing to seal, it made up for it with numbers, hence sealing all the Demons that had been raiding the Ruin of Amagoth.
And with them sealed, the Ruin of Amagoth experienced changes, causing the traps and Magic Beasts there to change, now expressing the traits of the sealed Demons.
"I'll come find you in two decades, Regriel." Slayer stood atop a hill, watching the figures of Regriel and Tehela appearing underneath a large tree as they panted in exhaustion before breaking into a chuckle for having escaped from the Ruin of Amagoth.
It seemed the crisis had allowed the two to hit it off well as they made their way towards the closest human Kingdom.
Slayer stared at their backs as his gaze lingered on Regriel for a good couple of minutes, excited, "If this experiment is a success, I'll be able to kick off the rest of my plans."
Sighing, he stared at the sky, "Finally, after so long. It has been such a frighteningly long journey, Arnark. This time, I hope I'll be able to achieve what you had dreamed about."
"No, saying something like this before I succeed is the recipe for disaster." Slayer shook his head, sighing as he massaged his forehead, "It seems even I'm getting old."
"Well, even immortals aren't immune to the passage of times. Even if our body doesn't grow old, our mind does, ever so gradually."
