During the seventy-odd years, Compass Carburettor gained enlightenment of sorts, which was what led to him compiling all his abilities into himself.
He thought of his prior powers and their means of use. The Secret Society members he created were dependent on the people or living beings that he consumed using Spirit Morph. Meaning, their nature and character, and inherent limits were as indicated by their source, despite them still being Compass Carburettors.
Moreover, every single Secret Society member was interlinked with the thoughts of each other. This also implied that when the bodies of every one were wired differently, despite them being the same individual, they had differing opinions and ways to approach a problem.
During a high-intensity battle, this would cost him his life, for the thoughts would clash. It was pretty obvious before. If not for the infinite energy supply that Immortal provided him with, he would have died back there, for millions of Secret Society members were in operation.
Honestly, going against not one, not two, but a group of Grade 3 Systems? Not to mention there being Zaira, the Genre Representatives, Slayer, and Arnark, all opposing each other, his chances ought to have been zero.
If not for Immortal and Truck-Kun, he and his family wouldn't have made it out that day. But until then, he didn't have the freedom to consolidate his gains.
From the start, he was on a high-pitched race of survival against the Systems, all while trying to save his daughter amid the various traps laid out by his opponents.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIn the end, he not only managed to survive but also emerged as one of the biggest winners of the battle. He gained the most from there.
Hazen gained info regarding the collective consciousness, profiting a lot from the transaction. As to how much he did, no one knew. Gehera was the next, obtaining powers of Systems that she originally would have never been able to face on her own.
But in that circumstance, she managed to steal the powers of a lot of Systems, including the infamous Regression System.
As for Stencil, her growth was stellar. She not only solved the issues plaguing her inherently but also gained the greatest support, obtaining the power of Dota to become the Dragon of Systems. She could now create Systems just like Zaira.
But just like Slayer, she didn't wish to create Systems, for that would only reinforce Zaira's foundation further. Hence, just like Slayer, she took a different direction.
In terms of losses, there was the problem of her strength fluctuating over the day, same for her age. But that was the sole loss they faced. Immortal's death was another issue altogether.
As for Truck-Kun, his concept was safe. And once he left Stencil's world with Hazen, he regained all his strength and returned to business.
Finally, there was Compass Carburettor who gained parts of power using Spirit Morph from Zaira—her blood—while she faced Immortal, including the defenceless Immortal fragments at the time of his death—when he was being ganged upon by the Systems.
Following that were pieces of Grade 2 and Grade 3 Systems that he stole while they were injured by Immortal. There was then the virus that he created using the Main Character System fragment. Along with it, he stole a lot of power from the Invader System and a bit of Arnark's powers that came with the virus invasion.
Finally, there was the Tell-Tale System, the cake of the feast. He gained it completely.
The other gains were the broken fragments of the two Core Skill Manifestations and the Genre Representation of Magister. Even though the majority of that was stolen by Stencil, the portions left behind after he created that Secret Society member was still with him. They weren't much in quantity, but they were still a sizeable amount.
These were just his gains. And hence, when he focused on the direction to grow further, he understood that having dispersed powers worked fine at the bottom of the pole, but at the top, everything had to be concentrated into one.
And that state of being was represented by the Grade 3 and 4 Systems and Genre Representatives but taken to the extreme by Zaira and peak Immortal.
That was his goal. And hence, Compass Carburettor took a pledge to never consume the Mental Energy of another person. Honestly, it wasn't worth consuming the Mental Energy of others, especially since he had to spend a lot of thought in making use of them, as their quality, content, and quantity varied all over the place.
So, despite his usage of the same Mental Energy, the strength of his attacks varied drastically. The efficiency amplified by his Mental Strength was all over the place too. And in that, he noticed a pattern.
Attacks using Mental Energy whose content was similar to his nature and character were amplified the most by his Mental Strength.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSo, what did it mean?
He had to rely on himself for the utmost benefit.
With that, Compass Carburettor first comprehended all the Mental Fragments that formed his being, followed by processing all the Mental Energy, getting rid of what was unnecessary before keeping only the necessary parts that had now become his.
After that, he focused on his Dreamland, creating a small world out of it. He laid the rules using the Tell-Tale System. And after that, he took tiny fragments of his body, one Mental Fragment per each and scattered them throughout the world.
They were his virus cells, containing all his information. As Compass Carburettor's body absorbed energy from the sunlight, it generated Mental Energy within the Dreamland, nourishing these virus cells.
But, it didn't nourish them like before, affecting their growth. As the entire Dreamland was a living being, with every single portion of it containing all his information, it was a proper world.
The Mental Energy generated from the mountain gave off a certain vibe, containing information regarding mountains and the like. Therefore, the virus cells there sprouted into trees, birds, and wild animals.
Each tree, bird, and insect were a Secret Society member. And through the Tell-Tale System, he added a special condition, a self-limiting factor, but also one that garnered further evolution.
Spirituality!
A concept where the world itself was no longer able to read the thoughts of others—for it too was a member. But those more open-minded were sometimes able to feel their surroundings to a vast extent and even download the information contained within them.
And as everyone was him, things took interesting turns.
