The reason Compass Carburettor had invested in Muscle Lantern's growth was that he was an asset in training students. He already was one before, for he trained the physiques of Heroes to give them fast growth.
But now, with his upgraded abilities, he was able to give them physical, ability, and mental growth. This would allow the students to tap into their potential faster and experience the most optimal results for their training.
Usually, trying to improve oneself was very difficult as it was hard for everyone to picture a better version of themselves. Not only was it mentally draining, but egotistically speaking, it was hard.
In stories, the main characters would get into a training arc where they would prepare for exactly this so that they could picture a mildly stronger version of themselves and grow to defeat them.
But, if they already had a crystal-clear example of their stronger self, they only need to grow to attain that. And Muscle Lantern's power did exactly that—giving them a clear picture of their stronger versions.
"We'll end the training session here." Compass Carburettor said as he asked the students, "So, how did it feel to face your antagonistic versions?"
"Horrible," Millie said in exhaustion, aching all over, feeling a bit dispirited.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe Academy nurse arrived at this moment, healing the injuries of all the students as Compass Carburettor addressed them, "You know yourself best. So, think of the reason they became what they became. Following that, think of ways to convince them to stop being a villain."
"You must first win against yourself before winning against other Villains." Compass Carburettor smiled in response as he left the class, "Keep thinking for ways to succeed as Heroes. As long as you wish to try something or have an idea, just approach me anytime. I'll bring you to that place and make you face your Villain selves."
'That place?' Millie caught on the choice of words used by Compass Carburettor, 'So, it's like a separate dimension?'
'Hmm, three…four…five? Impressive.' Compass Carburettor noticed that five people had caught onto his hints, smiling as he disappeared. He planned to raise their attention to details in the future. But everything has to be done step by step.
'When I'm done, these students would transform into elites that would protect this world.' He smiled and arrived at the staff room, staring at his timetable for the day to see that he didn't have any classes during the afternoon session.
It was lunchtime now, and with only two classes assigned to him, he didn't have much to do after this. Thinking for a moment, he took out a phone and dialled up a number, "Yo, I'm free after this."
"I know a good restaurant nearby." The person on the other side said, their tone a tad high-pitched as compared to the usual.
"You're not skipping class, right?" Compass Carburettor asked, squinting a little.
"I'm pretty much the head of my department. I don't have any classes to teach apart from a select few per week." The other side quickly hung up the call, "I'll be there in twenty minutes."
"Well, thankfully it seems I didn't disturb her." Muttering as such, Compass Carburettor took his belongings and packed them in a bag. There were some handouts, a syllabus, some reference books, and a couple of miscellaneous items that were necessary for his job.
He wore the bag and began to slowly walk towards the exit of the Academy while strolling through the campus. Everywhere he went, the students greeted him respectfully, having seen his fight against the Invader.
And of course, some sharp-eyed ones had noticed him standing within the frame while the Genesis Hero was sending off the aircraft to invade the Gunmetal Gold World. Their eyes brimmed with curiosity while they gazed at him.
'A job huh, it has been ages since I last had one. It's a nice change of pace.' He thought, frowning upon noticing something amiss. He stared at the sky, squinting to morph his vision, observing the celestial rings covering the planet in a protective embrace.
At the moment, a thin stream of fate flowed through them, unobstructed as it vanished beyond. He frowned, observing that the source seemed to originate from the Hero Association Headquarters, 'Is this because of the invasion?'
The stream was too thin and almost negligible. So, he didn't pay it any heed for the moment. But, that didn't mean he would ignore it though; he planned to keep an eye on it at all times.
After all, the stream of fate seemed to vanish out of this universe, allowing him to understand, 'Things have started to be in motion once again. This time too, it involves us.'

Beep!
A car arrived at the parking lot and the horn went off sharply. Compass Carburettor had made his way to the place by then and noticed that it was Gehera.
"There was a bit of traffic," Gehera said and opened the door to the passenger seat.
"It's fine, I was taking a casual stroll through the place." Compass Carburettor replied and sat down.
"How was your first day?" Gehera asked as she drove the car, "There's a good restaurant thirty minutes away from this place. I was intending to go there for a long time."
Gehera's driving skills were pretty professional as she smoothly manoeuvred the traffic without losing her mind. Well, of course, she might look young, but she had already surpassed a grandma in age…
For a moment, he felt a tinge of killing intent from her, stopping that line of thought to ask, "How much of Hazen's power did you steal?"
"A decent amount." Genera nodded.
"I enjoyed the day, to be honest." He changed the topic immediately and placed the bag on the rear seat before continuing, "Two Invaders appeared during the orientation. Once that was taken care of, I visited Stencil and gained a better understanding of her situation. The students in my class are pretty talented. There's this guy named Vahor, who looks like a smart and obedient student with an innocent face. But he has a sharp tongue…"
He began to recount his experiences that Gehera listened to while driving, giving her take from time to time as the two enjoyed the journey.
