1135 17.62 Fourth Violet Star - Space Pirates

A few hours before they were found by the Space Pirates...

A spacecraft carrying passengers was traveling to the Imperium Star as usual. Before reaching the Main Star, they would go from one Star to the next. Megan Shelley, who had just concluded his vacation and was getting ready to go back to school, was one of the passengers on the Civilian Spaceship. Since the majority of the communication equipment needed to convey messages to other worlds was targeted and destroyed by the Black Ant Zerg Swarm, no one was able to spread the word about the unexpected invasion on Imperium Star.

Because of this, the students who left the Main Star were unaware of the invasion but nonetheless made preparations to return to the Imperium Star as scheduled. The most of them perished before they even reached the Imperium Star, and Megan Shelley was unlucky enough to be targeted by a space pirate even before they reached the coordinates before the final space jump to the Main Star.

Megan Shelley recognized his belongings in one of the first-class cabins on the spacecraft since his family had given him a lot of trinkets to bring with him when he went back to school. His visit with the Shelley family went well, and despite the fact that he appeared a little awkward while there, they didn't say much to him. His ideas for the Shelley family were also completed.

After leaving the modest apartment with only two rooms, where the kitchen and bathroom were shared with other occupants and the space was actually quite limited for their family, he purchased a new mansion and a substantial amount of land for the family. Also, he gave them the terminals he purchased for each member of the family as well as some upcoming presents. The Shelley Family initially expressed disbelief and refused to accept any of his gifts; it was only when he explained his line of work that they reluctantly agreed to take everything.

His time spent with the Shelleys was wonderful. He would have preferred to remain at home had his vacation not come to an end. Finally, he was unable to comprehend why the original Megan Shelley felt ashamed of his family. Hard effort can earn money, but a loving family is something you're destined to have till the end. He was certainly not fortunate to have such a family since he spent his entire childhood in an orphanage. He therefore found it difficult to comprehend why the first Megan Shelley severed his relationship with his family.

After finishing his contact with his parents and going over his stuff, (Zane Lin) Megan Shelley, experienced a severe shake that caused him to fall to the bed. He unexpectedly had a horrible feeling about this happening, and as predicted, as soon as he peered through the windows, he spotted an unknown spaceship and realized that they were the Space Pirates, the bandits of the galaxies.

"It seems this ship was eyed the whole time. Defeating the one that entered is easy but if those in mechas outside become desperate, the whole ship will be put in danger," mumbled Megan Shelley (Zane Lin). "There is no other choice but to coat the whole ship with Defensive Magic."

He sat on his bed and used the mana in his body, albeit the majority of it had been converted into qi, which has the same properties as mana thinking but is simpler to control because its source is the world and cosmos. He cast a defense spell that covered the entire ship covertly using wizardry. Yet it was also necessary to apprehend the bandits who had entered the apartment. He used a spell to make himself invisible and made a covert strategy to apprehend these space pirates.

His door was violently kicked down by a few men who were casually clothed, had their faces covered, and had a pirate mark on their skin as soon as he and his possessions became invisible.

BAM!!

"RAISE YOUR HAND! WE ARE HERE TO TAKE AWAY YOUR BELONGINGS!!"

These pirates didn't expect to see anyone in the VIP room as they were told that a young student from Imperium Star was staying in this place.

"What the hell!? The room is empty! Are those bastards lying to us!"

"Do they need to lie? Where can they even run to? We are in space for God's sake."

"Check the other rooms. Maybe it wasn't this room."

These pirates entered Megan Shelley's (Zane Lin) room unguarded. They opened the wardrobe in the room and rampaged through it. Unfortunately, it was empty and not even a piece of rug was found.

But there were just three presences there when he checked on that black ship. The Grand Marshal is the first since he exudes the ship's strongest aura. He is also somewhat familiar with one of the other two. It's Nimbus von Gretel, a general from Planet Terra. As Lord Yara's aura is not present on that ship, he is certain that he is not with them. They really took a similar route, indicating that they also intended to get to the Imperium Star.

Megan Shelley's (Zane Lin) thoughts, 'Maybe something really happened in the Imperium Star.'

When he noticed that the fleet of the Space Pirates had fled, Megan Shelley (Zane Lin) lifted the spell he had cast around the ship. The Black Spaceship's crew entered their Civilian Ship through a door that their pilot had unlocked for them. Megan Shelley (Zane Lin), as anticipated, saw nothing amiss. They were visited by General Nimbus and a handsome man who appeared to be close with him. The latter appears to be his pair and resembles General Nimbus in terms of a soldier.

General Nimbus spoke, "I would like to meet the pilot and officers of this ship. Do not enter the Imperial Star. There is a war going on there. The Zergs had invaded!"

This news came abruptly and some passengers couldn't believe what they'd heard. Some reacted quite violently and were controlled by the General immediately.

"Calm down. There is news of survivors. We cannot bring you there and put you in danger. Turn back. We will do our best to kill the Zergs!" Lieutenant General Zephyr von Gretel stated.

Even after Lieutenant General Zephyr's address, just a small percentage of the populace had managed to do so. Unexpectedly, someone entered the room, and just his entry alone silenced the entire space. The Grand Marshal is as stern as ever, especially considering that his wife isn't present.

"Go back. This is an order! Leave the rest to me!"

"Your Highness! Your Excellency! Wuwuwu~"

"Please... Please kill all those Zergs!"

"We believe you! Grand Marshal, we believe in you!"

The Grand Marshal keeps a deadpan face and nods his head before preparing to leave. "Go somewhere safe first. Once the war is over you can return."

The civilians in the spaceship including the pilots and the officers in it kowtowed towards the Grand Marshal, leaving Megan Shelley who stood his ground a bit awkward.

General Nimbus recognized the child, "Child, aren't you a student of First Military Imperial School? You also should go home."

Megan Shelley (Zane Lin) was about to answer when the Grand Marshal suddenly said, "Zane Lin, you follow me."

"Yes, Grand Marshal."

Before following the Grand Marshal out of the hall, Megan Shelley saluted General Nimbus and Lieutenant General Zephyr who were standing nearby. He readily followed because he was aware that the Grand Marshal could want to exploit his skill in the conflict. His professors and pals are still there, after all. He also wants to save them if they are still alive.

General Nimbus and Lieutenant General Zephyr returned to the Black Spaceship after giving the Civilian Spaceship Pilot a few more instructions and searched for the Grand Marshal. They readied their ship for a space jump to their intended location after the Civilian Ship left. The Imperium Star.

Megan Shelley (Zane Lin) casted two spells to protect the passengers before the Civilian Spacecraft departed. both a protection spell and an invisibility spell. This ship was able to reach the closest planet in three days, which is how long it can last. But, the black ship carrying the Grand Marshal and the others swiftly jumped into the Space Tunnel and space travel.
