Chapter 99: Man’s Disguise
Far away, the woman on the mast climbed onto the black dragon’s back, and they descended. The black bead held by a man, the Largo’s eyeball, reflected the scene of the other bead.
The man’s lips thinned into a smile. The woman was almost stumbling on the dragon’s back. The screen shook several times and soon stopped. A man in an investigator’s uniform embraced her familiarly.
“I thought you were scared of heights, but you managed so well.”
“You… arrest…” The woman muttered a few nonsenses and soon collapsed into the man’s arms, her face buried deep in his chest.
“…It’s good.”
Adrian stared at the sight before him before tapping the Largo’s eyeball twice. The screen then disappeared.
That woman had finally gotten her hands on the dragon. The imprint was threatening even in its incomplete state, and with the imprint completed, there would be no limit to its magic. It was an unparalleled power one couldn’t easily handle, and it wouldn’t be a good possession to have.
Adrian muttered dryly, “I should have stopped it.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe was unaware that Lenia was the main reason for the imperfect imprint. He admitted that he was hasty. Lenia Valtalere, who was undertaking suspicious acts; an anonymous woman, who walked in the body of Eleonora Asil; and Kyle Leonard, the chief of the Bureau of Protection.
The opportunity to drive the three into one corner would not come again as long as there was a way out.
Then, they ought to be taken care of one by one.
A muffled sob sounded from Adrian’s feet, yet his green orbs spared no glance below. He only spoke in a light tone, as if sending a tune to the wind and uttered words that were tantamount to a death sentence to the listener.
“No one will notice if you die here, you know?”
“Ugh…”
“Why are you crying, it breaks my heart. With you tripping over your feet.” Adrian caressed the golden hair that was tangled among his fingers, keeping his gaze fixed at the black dragon, which soared high into the sky. His lips wore a captivating smile.
“Why did you do such a stupid thing, Lenia?”
“Someday, you’ll get caught…” The woman muttered, but Adrian had paid no attention to her.
After a short while, Adrian climbed up on the deck, the hems of his uniform fluttering along with the wind. He squeezed the hat he was holding in one hand. His alluring features have been transformed into a different appearance — a change completely concealing his identity.
A sailor popped his head out of the stairs of the deck and shouted. “Hey, what are you doing here! Get down here! It’s a mess down there.”
“Yes, I’m coming.”
The elevator guide, who was in charge of the only lift on the ferry, smiled faintly after not showing up all day. His figure soon disappeared below deck.

“Open your mouth, Mu. What the hell did you eat, and you’re getting metal scraps out of your mouth.”
“Ehhh.”
Noah forced open Muell’s mouth, scanning every corner inside. Sharp bits of metal was lodged in between his teeth, which were smaller than an infant’s nail.
She placed a cup before Muell’s mouth. “You can’t pick up anything and eat it. Now, water.”
The child filled his cheeks with water, blinking his eyes innocently, and swallowed. Of course, Noah freaked out. “Hey! You shouldn’t have swallowed it! Spit it back! Yuck!”
“Wag?” The little boy mumbled incomprehensibly.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmNoah sighed and ended up having to show a demonstration of gargling water. “See? Like this.”
“Arrr…”
Only
In the midst of a gargling episode, the door burst open. “What are you two doing?” Kyle asked, who had just witnessed Noah and Muell on the bed with their mouths brimming with water.
Naturally, both were surprised and had accidentally swallowed the water at the same time. Noah coughed, her face contorting in disgust. “Ew… Don’t you know how to knock, sir?”
“I did. You didn’t hear me.” Kyle looked as if he had never seen anything more pathetic. He approached the bed and patted Noah’s back, who was still coughing. “You’ve been dozing off in the mast, and now you’re full of energy,” he said.
“You! Yes…” Noah was agitated at his tone, but there wasn’t much she could retort. Even though she was running all night, fatigue didn’t take over her body. But, she was feeling exhausted, still.
Complete resonance with Meull no longer had Noah’s mana drawn from her, nor her body was forced under pressure that made her feel nauseous.
Her current condition was at its peak for the twenty-five years of Park Noah’s unbelievably dull life, and the additional three years of possessing the body of Eleonora.
However, it was only her body that was at its best. Her mental state couldn’t be any more battered. Noah pulled another fragment of metal from Muell’s tiny front teeth and sent the child back to the sea. “Go and relax, Mu. Okay?”
He should be exhausted by the time they arrive at the port. It was a cunning idea to do as the guardian of the child, but Noah couldn’t help it. She couldn’t control the dragon’s mana, and hence she would just have to wait until Muell was tired.
