probably resting.

Worried about waking him up, Cornelia first sent a message: [Are you asleep? Can I call you now?]

She really wanted to call Marcus, really wanted to hear his voice. But after sending the message, there was no

response. Marcus didn’t reply.

Cornelia guessed he was probably resting and that he would message her when he woke up. She put down her

phone and got up to wash. After washing up, she went downstairs and saw Grandpa Augustine was already up,

even earlier than her.

He was pacing back and forth near the staircase on the first floor. When he saw Cornelia coming down, he quickly
