Ryan suddenly got hit with the boredom bug

Leonardo was like, “Are you two going at it again with your cryptic chit–chat? Mam and Cornelia are practically

glued together. I get it when they’re talking in codes. But you two? You barely know each other How come you have

secrets I’m not privy to?”

Ryan shrugged. “Give it some time, and you’ll get it.”

Everyone kept telling him to wait, but he wanted to know right now. Leonardo was about to lose his cool. He

snapped, “No more ‘give it some time I want to know now!”

Ryan suggested, “Why don’t you ask Cornelia?”

Leonardo turned to Comelia. “Cornelia…”

“Apologies, dear guests!”

An announcement suddenly interrupted their conversation. “We have an emergency at the birthday palty. Please

stay put and avoid wandering around”

The voice belonged to Cameron.

Hearing the word ‘emergency‘. Cornelia’s heart skipped a beat. She immediately turned to go find Marcus, but

Leonardo quickly grabbed her “Wait, Cornelia. The announcement said to stay put Where are you off to?”

Cornelia lost her cool. “Let go of me! I have to find Marcus. I cant let anything happen to him.”

Marcus‘ situation was special, and there were many people who wanted to harm him behind his back.

Comelia feared that the emergency was about Marcus. She needed to find him and ensure his safety.

Seeing how flustered Cornelia was, Leonardo held on tighter “Calm down, Cornelia Marcus will be fine.”

“Let me go! I’ll see for myself if he’s fine Just as Cornella was trying to wriggle free from Leonardo’s grip,

Cameron’s voice came again

“There’s no need for panic. The emergency is not a security issue. My father’s necklace for his wife has gone

missing. We suspect.a thief might’ve sneaked in. Please keep. your belongings safe and watch out for unfamiliar

faces. If you find any clues, please inform me immediately.”

Cornelia was speechless. She really wanted to swear.

A missing necklace was just a missing necklace. Why called it an emergency? What a drama queen.

Leonardo said, “Really? All this fuss over a necklace?”

Ryan chimed in. “What if the necklace is worth 30 million dollars?”

Leonardo doubted, “30 million dollars? I find it hard to believe that Granger would spend that much on a necklace

for Clair.”

Ryan added. “I’m not sure if Granger would do that. But I’ve heard about that necklace.”

Leonardo was curious. “Do tell.”

Ryan explained, “About a year ago, a mysterious wealthy man paid a fortune for a necklace called ‘Heavenly

Radiance‘. He said it was for his wife. But the man was very secretive, only leaving behind two initials, with no other

information.”

Leonardo laughed. “That couldn’t be Granger. He’s the type who’d want a horde of journalists around even when

he’s being intimate with his wife. He wouldn’t miss a chance to show off and opt for secrecy”

Ryan continued, “The necklace was the last piece by famous Parisian designer Wayland, and it was his proudest

achievement. Wayland spent three years painstakingly crafting the necklace for the woman he loved most, naming

it “Heavenly Radiance‘. It symbolized eternal love, or more accurately, love that never fades.”

30 million dollars? Paris? A mysterious wealthy man? A necklace for his wife?
