Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System
Chapter 245.2: Volume 4 of the Novel (Part-2)Although these skills allowed the domestication of a few types of beasts, it wasn't popular among the masses as not only were they hard to learn and get, they only allowed the taming of weak level 1 to 5 monsters.
Strong monsters, especially those with intelligence, would never bow their heads down to humans unless their respect and loyalty were earned.
However, the truth was that beast tamers were so trash because of their beast taming skills.
Roy recalled the third most juiciest and thickest plot of the story, Ancient Battlefield of the Gods. It was the reason why he was so excited about getting a formless siren or just an egg version of her.
『Novel: Ancient Battlefield of the Gods』
『Volume 4: The New Age』
Around a year and a half after the invasion of Chaos, westerners were forced to sneak into the small worlds of the Far West Major Realm.
Each had a unique habitat.
Dwelling in them were different species of beasts and demi-humans.
The westerners started a new life there.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThese small worlds quickly became known as safe havens for humans.
All the people scattered in the Far West Major Realm tried to get there whilst getting hunted down by the forces of Chaos and the undead army.
The top-notch noble families that survived the onslaught of two different armies and managed to reach safe havens like these tried to rope as many trainees as possible in their families and help them awaken, developing their forces, hoping to raise an army in order to reclaim their land from Chaos.
However, they had a limited amount of awakening stones and managed to awaken only 30 thousand trainees when they ran out of it.
Then, they searched for awakening stones in the same world, soon realizing that these small worlds lacked both awakening stones and platforms.
Their dreams of adding raising an army that could compete against the forces of Chaos shattered like glass, and they concluded that the only way to help others awaken was to get awakening stones from their homeland for them.
However, returning to the Far West Major Realm occupied by the forces of Chaos and Undead meant dancing with death.
But for the greater good of humanity, many weapon and aura masters grouped up and dared sneak back into their homeland in search of awakening stones.
Many other groups followed their example.
But none of them returned.
Thus, it quickly became known throughout the remaining human race that ten out of ten that dared to step back into their homeland that was run over by demons in search of awakening stones would die brutal deaths.
The trainees of the small worlds become depressed as they realized that they will never be able to taste awakening or become strong enough to stand against their enemies.
Taking revenge for themselves and avenging their families seemed like a distant dream to them when they realized that they couldn't grow any more powerful, and thus, they buried their heads in their hands and cried.
The news that anyone who hasn't awakened will never be able to awaken spread to all the strongholds of the human race established in the small world.
A cloud of doom hung over their heads.
The aristocrats of the fallen empire and the dragon disciples were eventually forced to look for another way to help trainees become strong.
They explored the small worlds in earnest and met different species, ranging from Centaurs to Forest Elves.
Some were hostile to them and threatened them to scram or immediately attacked them.
The others established give-and-take relationships with them.
Things weren't looking good for them.
While all this was going on, the main character was trapped in the den of demons, once known as Far West.
He was yet to reach a small world, the safe haven for people like him. Like many others, he was on his way to one. He was attacked in the middle of his journey. His attackers were too powerful. He couldn't handle them. He made a run for it, but they attacked his back, throwing him into a cliff. To their surprise, it sucked him in. They gawked as he magically vanished from their sight.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe cliff obviously didn't have anything special about it. So how did it make their little rat disappear? Now their fun time was ruined! The chaotic beings destroyed it in anger, not realizing that they had destroyed an entrance to a small world with plenty of resources like retards.
The protagonist was teleported to the land of mermen and mermaids. It was mostly sea with sparse islands. The mermaid princess fished him out of the sea, healed him, and taught him a method to tame other species.
But it wasn't a simple taming method.
Using it, the protagonist not only tamed beasts left and right and helped them evolve but also acquired their special traits and innate racial skills.
Just about any human could learn this method.
Thus, the protagonist shared it with everyone.
The beast-taming method became complementary to the young and old, trainee or not, and tens of thousands of strong beast tamers rose from the ranks of the human race just in time to confront the forces of Chaos that didn't feel full after eating the giant cake that was Far West and thus started invading the small worlds.
Thanks to the Dragon's Disciples and the beast tamers, the humans were able to hold their ground against them.
The thing is, all of this wouldn't have happened if the protagonist wasn't related to a formless siren.
The author said that the merman king personally accepted him in their tribe and treated him like a holy guest because his scent was similar to that of the formless siren, a being that the melfoks revered.
The readers didn't know why his scent was similar to one, as the author never explicitly explained it.
However, one thing was for sure, Roy would be able to play out that plot and spread the beast-taming method within a year if he hatched the egg and formed a bond with the formless siren.
The protagonist only had the scent of one, yet the mermen and mermaids treated him like a precious gift from God.
Roy didn't believe they would treat him any lesser if he brought an entire Formless Siren to their doorstep!
