Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!
Chapter 440 [Bonus ]Hi Skeleton!"Alkheim was the first reincarnation of the God of Night. He died fighting against the creatures of chaos. Yulran must also hate them. My intense hatred for Chaos must be inherited from them. The human king was the second reincarnation of Night. He was afraid that the world would be destroyed after his death. So he left behind a weapon to protect the world. Ninam was the third reincarnation of Night. He sealed Voss and died to stop the assault of the strongest undead king."
"And I am related to them all, and the power that the system has been granting me belongs to all four of them."
"Could the system be created by Night, or is there some bigger conspiracy involved?" he concluded after going over what he knew.
Roy wondered whether a God had created his system.
Sadly, he lacked concrete evidence to prove his assumptions.
There was an even more pressing matter that caused a wave of unease to wash over him. The Far West Major World was sealed right now, but once it is unsealed, who knows what trouble would come his way? He was inheriting Night's power. The four trashy nature gods wouldn't tolerate his existence once they knew about it.
He was pushed into this mess against his will. Yet, surprisingly enough, he had no complaints.
After all, he got a second chance at life thanks to it.
Anyway, he didn't need to worry about the four nature gods for the time being.
After all, surviving the invasion of Chaos was the most necessary mission, and it's not like the Far West Major Realm would be freed without the permission of Death.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSo, for now, Roy focused on the task at hand.
"It's said that the Human Monarch visited Celestia before his death. There's a chance that he placed the stone of history there. Let's find out." Roy thought as he abused the special powers of his eyes.
Roy looked towards the ancient towering structures that populated the ruins of Celestia.
His intense gaze pierced through them as if trying to penetrate Celestia's secrets, seeking to unravel its mysteries.
As he looked on, his eyes fell upon a petal-shaped monument situated at the heart of the ruins.
The monument exuded a certain majesty and beauty that was hard to ignore.
Its intricate design and elegant contours left Roy in awe as he took in its every detail.
Surrounding the monument were thirty-two statues that seemed to guard it fiercely. Some of them resembled winged devils with sharp talons and fierce eyes, while others appeared to be headless knights, sitting atop their horses, their swords drawn and at the ready.
In front of the petal-shaped monument sat a mage draped in a crimson robe, his skeletal form cross-legged and unmoving. An old staff rested in his bony hands, and time had etched countless marks upon its surface.
Suddenly, two wisps of fire appeared in the empty eye sockets of the mage, and he turned his head to meet Roy's gaze.
Though they were miles apart, their eyes locked in a fierce clash, each one daring the other to look away.
The skeleton mage's gaze was emotionless, devoid of any warmth or humanity. It was as if he was staring at a corpse rather than a living, breathing person.
Roy felt his blood boil with provocation.
The skeleton mage's cold, unfeeling gaze seemed to challenge him, daring him to step forward and engage in a battle of wills.
"Get lost!" he mouthed arrogantly.
"I am coming for you!" Roy mouthed back.
The skeleton mage raised its staff and pointed it directly at Roy, who watched its actions with a mix of apprehension and curiosity.
In the blink of an eye, a peculiar and unsettling sensation coursed through Roy's entire being, causing him to stagger backwards as he attempted to regain his balance.
In that moment, a notification jolted through his mind, ringing out with an ominous tone.
『Ding! The level-25 Lich is placing a curse on you!』
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe news hit Roy like a ton of bricks, his heart plummeting as he fully grasped the gravity of the situation. He knew all too well that an undead Lich was a ferocious opponent, but he had no idea that it could cast curses from miles away!
『You have failed to pass the check!』
『You are not resistant to its curse!』
『The lich's mark has been placed on you!』
『You have become the target of all the undead in the area!』
These dire warnings filled Roy with nervousness, but as he processed the information, he quickly realized that the curse was powerless against him. He was being scared for no reason!
He thought it was a curse that could instantly kill a person and he was ready to use his Absolute Defense Skill. Instead, the curse of the lich simply designated him as the prime target for countless hordes of undead creatures.
As if on cue, all the zombies in the forest down below began to swarm towards him, scaling the cliff with malevolent intent.
Roy's fear was replaced by an overwhelming sense of amusement as he knew that the zombies posed no threat to him.
Without a moment's hesitation, he laughed and hurled himself off the cliff.
Roy hurtled towards the border of zombies, adrenaline pumping through his veins ashe drew upon the power within him, and waves of darkness exploded out of his hands with a force that seemed to stretch up to the very stars above.action
The darkness swirled and churned, pulsing with an otherworldly energy as it condensed into two colossal fists of iron, each one stretching forty feet in height.
"Just because you were once the citizens of the flying empire doesn't mean I am going to show you mercy. It's time you learnt to move on." Roy said as he brought his hands downward.
Whoosh!
The gigantic black fists hurtled through the air and plunged towards the mass of mindless zombies with incredible speed.
