Bawang swam over a thousand nautical miles in a single breath, a remarkable feat for any creature.
As the sun began to set, Liu Yong finished his work for the day and set off in his supercar towards the warehouse by the sea.
Despite the distance taking an hour, Liu Yong managed to get there in just 40 minutes, eager to retrieve what he had been waiting for.
Upon arriving at the warehouse, Liu Yong heard Bawang's voice,
"Master, I'll be right there."
"Okay, I'm already in the warehouse," Liu Yong replied.
Moments later, Bawang emerged from the waterway that connected the warehouse to the sea and climbed up to stand in front of Liu Yong.
The sight of Bawang was impressive, standing at 90 tons with a carapace resembling an armoured dinosaur. His ten-meter-long tail and sharp claws with a dark metallic sheen were a sight to behold.
Liu Yong was pleased. "You've done well, Bawang," he said.
Bawang placed the retrieved items in his mouth onto the ground and asked, "Master, do you want me to take all those things?"
"Not yet," Liu Yong replied. "I need to confirm what these are first and then make a decision."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Understood," Bawang said, nodding his head.
"If they're valuable, I can always retrieve them from the cave in the 3,000-meter-deep sea where they're currently safe."
"Thank you for your hard work," Liu Yong said.
"It's not hard to do things for the master," Bawang replied. "I'm going back to that cave now. There's still delicious food waiting for me."
"Go ahead and enjoy your meal," Liu Yong said with a chuckle.
Once Bawang had left, Liu Yong began to examine the items brought to him. Pouring out the "glass" onto his large desk in the study, he picked them up individually and carefully read them.
As he examined the items, Liu Yong asked, "What is this thing? Is it worth it?"
His curiosity improved, and he began to inspect each one more closely.
"These come in different sizes and colours," he said, noticing that most were colourless and transparent while a few had beautiful red, pink, and purple shades. There were even some with hints of yellow.
After counting the pieces, Liu Yong found 52 items before him.
Some were dirty, so he fetched a basin of clean water and carefully washed them with a small brush.
After cleaning and drying the items, Liu Yong admired them again.
He couldn't be sure if they were valuable gemstones or worthless transparent minerals, but he was excited to find out.
The following day, Liu Yong headed to work as usual, bringing with him the items he had acquired the day before.
He arrived at the company and sat down on his boss's chair, carefully examining the most prominent piece he had obtained.
With great interest, he even used a magnifying glass to look at it closely, hoping that it was a precious gemstone rather than a transparent mineral.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of his office. Qiu Yang, his employee, informed him that Qian Feihai from Qian Shengsheng Jewelry Company had come to visit.
Liu Yong placed the "big glass" on his desk and gave Qiu Yang the go-ahead to let him in.
Qian Feihai had arrived to discuss the design of a wedding jewellery set. He brought along with him the preliminary design plan and personally showed the design drawings to Liu Yong for his opinion.
Additionally, he was accompanied by Zhou Hongliang, the chief jewellery designer of Qian Shengsheng Company, whose team would be in charge of creating the wedding jewellery Liu Yong had commissioned.
The two men shook hands cordially, and Zhou Hongliang presented Liu Yong with the design drawings for the entire jewellery set.
Liu Yong sat down and reviewed the designs, including 2D design drawings and design effect colour pictures.
After reviewing the designs, Liu Yong was highly pleased, commenting that the design met all of his requirements.
He praised the Qian Shengsheng Company's top-notch design team, and Zhou Hongliang breathed a sigh of relief.
Zhou Hongliang explained that the necklace would comprise 1088 broken diamonds, with a pink diamond as the central diamond.
He suggested that a pink diamond over 15 carats would be ideal, and Qian Feihai added that they would need to search for such a diamond in the international market, which would likely take about two months.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThese pink diamonds are rare and expensive, costing tens of millions of yuan each.
Qian Feihai went on to explain that the pink diamond they were looking for would likely be even more expensive and that the price of the entire set of jewellery would increase.
He estimated that the total cost of the collection would exceed 100 million yuan.
Liu Yong grandly declared that this wasn't an issue, even if the price increased to two hundred million yuan. After all, this was a set of jewellery for his future marriage, and he was willing to pay whatever it cost.
The three men then discussed the jewellery set in more detail, with Zhou Hongliang providing additional information based on the design drawings.
As Zhou Hongliang began to introduce a new set of jewellery to Liu Yong, Qian Feihai found himself momentarily distracted and began to survey the office around him. As his eyes drifted towards Liu Yong's imposing desk, they suddenly locked onto something that immediately piqued his interest.
His gaze froze, and his eyes widened in surprise as though he had just stumbled upon a treasure trove.
Liu Yong had carelessly placed a few pieces of "big glass" on his desk, apparently oblivious to their true worth.
However, Qian Feihai, a seasoned professional in the jewellery industry, could easily recognise the rarity and value of such precious stones. From a distance, he could already discern that it was not just any ordinary piece of glass but rather a rough diamond of enormous size - a rarity that he had seldom seen before in all his years in the industry.
His eyes lingered on the diamond briefly, taking in its size and radiance. It was at least several hundred carats in weight, and its sheer magnitude took Qian Feihai's breath away.
What surprised him even more was that Liu Yong had left it lying there on his desk, seemingly unconcerned about its worth or rarity.
A hint of skepticism began to gnaw at Qian Feihai's thoughts.
Indeed, such a priceless stone could not be left lying around so casually, could it? Perhaps it was not a rough diamond, and his sharp vision had deceived him. But as he stared at the gleaming stone, his doubts slowly dissipated.
It was indeed a rough diamond of immense value, and Qian Feihai could not help but wonder at the nonchalance with which Liu Yong had left it lying there, as though it were of little importance.
