Deep within the clandestine confines of Fast Company, a hidden sanctuary nestled on a mysterious island, a subordinate approached the formidable figure of Ram Scott, the enigmatic leader of this covert establishment. The air was thick with an aura of secrecy and urgency as the subordinate began to relay a crucial report.
"BOSS," the subordinate began, his voice laced with a mix of concern and trepidation, "our No. 2 unleashed a devastating assault upon a grand yacht sailing the northeastern waters of Saipan yesterday, precisely at noon. The tragic outcome of this ruthless encounter resulted in the loss of twenty-six innocent lives."
Upon hearing this report, Ram Scott, the inscrutable head of the secret base, reacted indifferently. His countenance remained stoic as he nonchalantly responded, "It's nothing, merely a trivial matter unworthy of our attention."
It was evident that the lives of these twenty-six individuals held no significance in the eyes of the Fast executives, including Ram Scott himself. Their primary concern revolved around the situation surrounding their No. 1 and No. 2 operatives.
Ram Scott inquired, his voice tinged with a hint of detachment, "And what of our No. 2? How fares the situation?"
The subordinate, well-versed in providing thorough updates, promptly replied, "Upon examining the data transmitted by No. 2 on the second, we found everything to be in order, indicating a seamless operation."
"Very well," Ram Scott acknowledged, his tone devoid of emotion. "If all is normal, then the other matters are of no consequence. Focus your attention on closely monitoring the activities of No. 2. I believe it may be permissible to extend their reach to more distant locales, such as the North Pacific region."
An undercurrent of worry coursed through the subordinate as he issued a concerned reminder. "Boss, however, our No. 2 has never ventured into such remote territories. Embarking on a journey spanning thousands of nautical miles carries inherent risks. What if an unforeseen incident occurs?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtDeep in contemplation, Ram Scott took a moment to reflect. After careful deliberation, he finally spoke, "In that case, exercise caution for now. Let No. 2 continue operating in the northeastern waters of Saipan, albeit at a reasonable distance from the central area to avoid detection. The vast expanse of the ocean shall serve as their playground."
"Understood, Boss. We shall relay your instructions to No. 2," the subordinate dutifully affirmed.
In the early morning hours, a colossal vessel gracefully sailed into the northeastern waters of Saipan.
Gliding just beneath the surface, mere tens of meters below the azure sea, Bawang basked in the radiant clarity of the water. The visibility was remarkably high, allowing it to discern distant targets with remarkable precision.
Indeed, even from a considerable distance, Bawang could spot a great white shark meandering about, a creature of immense proportions spanning six meters. With its predatory intentions, the shark ventured forth in search of sustenance.
Occasionally, Bawang emerged partially from the ocean's embrace, its keen eyes scouring the expansive sea. Enhanced by extraordinary vision, it possessed an acuity that surpassed the norm, affording it the ability to perceive far-off objects.
From dawn until noon, Overlord tirelessly combed the waters within a radius of 100 nautical miles. Yet, despite its unwavering efforts, no target emerged, not even the faintest trace of the colossal crocodile it sought.
A vexing predicament indeed. Overwhelmed by uncertainty, Bawang contacted its trusted confidant, Liu Yong, and relayed the disheartening update. "Master, I have diligently scoured the sea within a 100-nautical-mile radius, but to no avail. Our quarry eludes us still."
In an instant, Liu Yong, positioned in the confines of his office, sprang to attention. Upon hearing Bawang's report, he swiftly rose from his seat and approached the colossal world map adorning the office wall.
Fixated on the map, Liu Yong embarked on a mental voyage. He meticulously located the northeastern waters of Saipan, allowing his thoughts to traverse uncharted realms.
"Where might that wretched giant crocodile have ventured?" Liu Yong pondered aloud, his voice resonating with both frustration and determination. "It is unlikely to have ventured towards Saipan Island, for it teems with humanity. Rather, it shall likely continue its course northeastward, distancing itself from the bustling international waterways, and venturing further into the heart of the ocean."
After much contemplation, Liu Yong began to form a definitive plan. "Bawang, expand your search parameters. Focus your efforts on the seas northeast of Saipan. It is there that we shall seek our elusive prey."
"Understood, Master. I shall take my chances amidst the northeastern waters," Bawang replied with unwavering resolve.
And so, with a spear in hand, Bawang embarked on its arduous journey, propelling itself through the ocean depths with impressive swiftness. Though advancing with purpose, it occasionally paused to survey its surroundings. After traversing hundreds of nautical miles, Bawang temporarily ceased its relentless movement.
Before it lay a pod of majestic killer whales, their magnificent forms dotting the vast expanse. Dozens of these awe-inspiring, colossal and diminutive creatures traversed the waters. Sensing a pang of hunger, Bawang, having foregone its morning meal, contemplated indulging in a "morning tea" of sorts. Undoubtedly, capturing one or two killer whales would satiate its appetite.
Indeed, these killer whales served as one of Bawang's preferred delicacies, a mainstay within its culinary repertoire. Its discerning gaze swiftly identified the largest among them—a mature male stretching nearly ten meters long, weighing an enormous six to seven tons.
With unparalleled agility, Bawang propelled itself forward, triggering a panicked response from the pod of killer whales. The once-majestic creatures swiftly retreated, desperately attempting to outpace their pursuer.
Yet, where could they possibly flee?
Can they genuinely evade their relentless adversary?
Overlord's unyielding swiftness effortlessly outpaced its prey, rapidly closing the distance. In one fell swoop, it ensnared the most enormous killer whale, its mighty jaws making short work of the unfortunate creature. The gargantuan mammal was consumed in mere moments, its essence absorbed by the insatiable predator.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"A delectable morsel indeed," Bawang mused with satisfaction. Regarding this act as nothing more than an appetizer, it elected not to pursue the remaining members of the pod, for its purpose transcended mere indulgence.
But what of the elusive giant crocodile?
This enigma occupied Bawang's thoughts as it ventured forth, scanning the surrounding waters within a range of one to two hundred nautical miles. In a fortuitous turn of events, Overlord took only a few minutes to witness a truly captivating sight.
The pod of fleeing orcas, gripped by terror, abruptly changed their course. Remarkably, they reversed their direction, seemingly unafraid of the impending doom that awaited them. Curiosity piqued, Bawang meticulously surveyed the situation, attempting to discern the source of their frenzied reversal.
Then, clarity emerged.
A colossal figure trailed the pod of orcas—a massive crocodile stretching approximately 70 meters long and weighing 500 to 600 tons. The behemoth seized the opportunity to prey upon the fleeing killer whales, swiftly dispatching them with effortless abandon. Each swipe of its immense jaws devoured its hapless victims, unconcerned with their size or gender.
Bawang stood awe-stricken before this gargantuan crocodile, known only as XX. It towered above Bawang, surpassing its own grandeur and striking fear into its heart. "Master, I have found the giant crocodile," Bawang dutifully informed Liu Yong.
By receiving this vital information, Liu Yong activated his third vision, instantly transforming the watery depths into a vivid, high-definition spectacle. Within the submerged realm, Bawang, its presence concealed beneath the depths, maintained an unwavering vigilance.
Approximately 500 to 600 meters ahead, dozens of killer whales formed a desperate procession, fleeing for their very lives. Trailing behind them, the colossal crocodile relentlessly pursued, closing the distance with each passing moment.
Liu Yong witnessed the awe-inspiring sight, and his eyes fixated upon the gargantuan adversary. The sheer magnitude of the crocodile struck him profoundly, for it loomed more extensive than even Overlord itself. What chance did Bawang possess in a confrontation with such a fearsome creature?
However, circumstances rendered any notion of a quiet escape implausible. Abandoning Bawang was not an option, for the potential loss was inconceivable. Additionally, the colossal crocodile had unmistakably detected Overlord's presence; its pursuit of the killer whales abruptly halted to set its sights upon its new prey.
Halting its advance roughly two to three hundred meters away from Bawang, the colossal crocodile observed the imposing figure before it. An air of curiosity permeated the beast's consciousness, incredulous at the existence of a creature of such magnitude within its domain.
Bawang, now weighing over 290 tons, exuded an aura of armoured majesty, radiating dominance. Yet, this crocodile surpassed Overlord's grandeur, exuding an even more formidable and ferocious presence.
And so, the encounter between these two colossal beings began the ocean depths serving as their battleground.
