Chapter 161
Wilbur was just wondering what to say in response to Faye’s father, who was being nothing but
demanding and arrogant. He sw Faye come in, and scrambled to say, “Faye! Your dad’s here.”
Faye jumped, and then her expression turned cold. “What are you doing here?”
“What? Can’t I visit my own daughter?” Fabian scowled as well.
Wilbur did not know what to say. It did not seem like the two got along well at all.
Faye said, “I’m fine. I don’t need you to visit me to mind your own business.”
“What’s the meaning of that? What the hell did I do?” Tabian furned.
Faye was positively furious. “What do you think?”
Wilbur scrambled to pat Faye’s back, sitting her down on the couch. “Don’t be rash. Let’s talk this out.”
He had never expected Faye’s father to show up, and for the encounter to be so aggressive
Faye sat down, turning her face to the side.
Fabian put out his cigarette with a frown. “You’re not getting any younger and you know that. I found
you someone in Howl City, the son of Romer Joering from Pride Corp. You can meet with him in the

Faye smirked. “Hah! You’re hilarious, you really are. When was my love life ever your business? Worry
about yourself, please.”
You’re my daughter! Who else am I supposed to worry about?” Fabian said, his tone
uncharacteristically gentle all of a
sudden.
Faye sneered “Did you worry about Mom? You were living it up in Endler Province when she was sick.
Do you think I have forgotten that? Do you know how we got through those times? Took you a little long
to think of me, didn’t it?”
Watch your tone!” Fabian slammed the table, painting at Faye. “Would our family even have an ounce
of the success and power we do now If I hadn’t worked hard abroad?”
“That’s your power and your success. I have nothing to do with It, and sacrificing myself for your gain is
the last thing I’ll do. Forget about it!” Faye shouted in response.
Wilbur was positively sweating at the conversation. This conversation alone could be made into a full
drama episode.
Fabian’s brows were tightly furrowed, and his chest heaved as he glowered at Faye
A while later, he took a deep breath and said, “I’ve made my mind up. You’re meeting the guy in two
days. Dan’t even think about going against it. You don’t quite have the right to do that yet.”
Upon saying that, he turned to leave.
Faye got to her feet and shouted after him, “In your f*cking dreams!”
Wilbur hurried after Fabian. “Let me send you out,
1. Mister Yves.”
He walked Fabian to the door. There was a luxury car parked outside, with a chauffeur waiting with the
door open.
Fabian walked up to the car, and Wilbur stond awkwardly behind him.
Fabian barely looked at Wilbur, merely saying, “I’m telling you, no one dares to go against my word.
You’re leaving my daughter unless you want to get yourself killed. My daughter deserves nothing less
than the best of the best, Gin; it?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWilbur was pretty annoyed at being talked to like this, but he smiled anyway on Faye’s account. “Hey,
how would you lunow I’m not the best of the best?”
Fabian practically stared daggers into Willar. “You piece of shit. Go ahead and try. We’ll see if you
survive this.”
He put into the car after that, and the chauffeur drove them away.
Wilbur sighed, shaking his head as he returned to the house.
Faye was still on the couch, tears flowing down her face. That was the first time Wilbur had ever seen
Faye cry, and he panicked at the sight. “oh, please don’t cry. You can tell me anything.”
Faye sniffled, flashing a weak smile. “It’s all in the past now, I don’t really want to talk about it.”
“Oh, that’s fine too.” Wilbur nodded sympathetically.
Faye said, “Boss, I’m not going to agree to this.”
“Well, that’s up to you. It’s your choice,” Wilbur said, his tone awkward and guilty.
Faye looked at Wilbur. “Really? Are you sure this has nothing to do with it at all?”
