Louisa, known for her fiery temper, couldn't swallow such a bitter pill.
The very day she found out, she stormed the real estate agency, demanding the young agent, Ralph, to show his
face. However, the manager informed her Ralph had resigned and left three days prior.
Unable to find Ralph, Louisa clung to the agency like a dog with a bone.
She made a scene at the agency daily, even rallying relatives and friends to picket outside, causing quite the
uproar.
Out of options, the manager reluctantly gave up Ralph's address.
Louisa, following the trail, caught Ralph red-handed.
Far from guilty, Ralph stood his ground confidently-
"Look, you already sold the house to me. We settled the deal, cash exchanged, and now the deed's in my name.
All your fussing is pointless." Louisa, undeterred, plopped herself down on his doorstep, launching into her well-
rehearsed tirade.
Ralph, not one to back down, mirrored her actions, lying down and crying foul.
Eventually, all the noise got the attention of the police, thanks to a neighbor who had enough of the racket. Both
of them were taken to the station.

After mediation, it was clear: Louisa had sold her house, signed the contract, received the payment, and the
ownership had been transferred.
No matter how much she protested, the house was now Ralph's.
Ralph scoffed, "See! | just took a gamble and bought her old house, thinking it'd help her out. How was | to know
about the demolition plans? I'm no psychic. Just bad luck on your part. Go home, wash up, and sleep it off. If you
really want to make a fuss, I'm all in. I've got all the tin the world now that I'm jobless. Let's see who lasts
longer."
"I've got the demolition compensation to fall back on for the rest of my life. Working or not doesn't bother me.
But you, ma'am, you've got a husband and a son. Don't you have chores to attend to?" Louisa was
flabbergasted.
She had ruled the roost in the teachers’ housing complex for over a decade, largely unchallenged due to her
husband's connections. But outsiders were less forgiving.
Now, Louisa was filled with regret. Had she known about the demolition plans, why would she have ever sold her
house?
Just a little longer, and she could've cashed in on a couple million!
The more she thought about it, the more heartbroken she became.
It wasn't just a hundred bucks, but a million!
To have it snatched away just like that?!
Norris shared, "Heard she was so mad, ended up in the hospital."
Roseanne just sighed.
"Oh, and she called your mom a few days ago."
"Who?"
"Louisa."
"Why would she call Mom?"
"Asking if we're selling our old house, saying she'd offer 400k, considering our past neighborly ties."
Roseanne's lips twitched. "What on earth is she thinking?"
With the demolition policy already announced, waiting a few more
months couldthem over a net
million for the house. And she's offering 400k now?
Norris shrugged, "Maybe... she thinks we don't know about the demolition?"

Roseanne was speechless, "Just ignore her."
"Exactly. Your mom did just that, hung up on her."
After several unanswered calls, Louisa gave up.
Recalling Stoner's invitation and that

Madge's contract had expired three
days ago, Roseanne said, "Dade
you're on summer break,
"Yep, started a week ago. What's up?"
"Why don't you and Mom chang out within Lumina City? It could be a nice little getaway!"
Norris was tempted.
Partly to see his daughter, and partly because he himself was a Twilight Peak
becausdemy alum and had lived in
Lumina City for a few years, holding fond memories of the place.
