Chapter 10 Intense Stare Down

In truth, no one doubted what Jonathan said because everyone knew he wasn’t interested in girls. Since

he didn’t have a girlfriend or a family of his own, no one expected him to know anything about sex.

Perhaps Walter had jumped to a conclusion and assaulted someone. Only then did Lucille call Hannah,

asking her for help.

A hush descended over the living room after Jonathan said that.

The afterglow of the sunset happened to seep into the living room and fell on Jonathan’s body while

sophisticated man. Elegance and splendor have taken over the defiance he used to have when he was

She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn’t even realize that Jonathan was looking back at her.

She’s gotten more beautiful and refined over the past five years.

Indeed, her previously palm-sized face had grown more exquisite, giving her a pointy chin and smiling

eyes in addition to her translucent porcelain skin.

Michaela was unaware of Jonathan’s burning gaze on her as she was still struggling to recall where she

had heard the voice from. Right then, she was frightened by an abrupt roar and shuddered in fear.

Michaela quickly returned to her senses and was about to retract her gaze. However, she realized the

man was staring back at her.

Michaela was flustered when their eyes met. She quickly shied away from his gaze as if she had been

caught red-handed while committing a crime.

When Jonathan saw the woman who looked like a startled bunny, he couldn’t help but grin. Is she

embarrassed?

While Jonathan was retracting his gaze discreetly, he saw Quentin dashing toward Zack with a scowl.

The man landed a kick on his son and roared, “B*stard! See what you’ve done!”

Caught off guard, Zack let out a low grunt as he rolled on the floor in pain.

Zack never expected things to spiral out of control. Although the marriage was arranged by his parents,

he had never objected to their decision. However, Lucille suddenly told him that she was into him on the

night when they were in a foreign country.

She was hugging him tightly and unwilling to let go while she told him how much she liked him. As the

man had drunk a glass or two, he gave in to his desires and ended up committing an irreversible

mistake.

He had admitted to his mistake after that and apologized to Lucille, even offering to send her out of the

country so that they could return to their respective lives.

However, never had he expected her to tell him that she would not interfere with his marriage with

Michaela.

Zack had thought she meant it, but what happened next utterly stupefied him.

At first, the photo of him and Lucille taken when they were overseas was exposed. After that, Lucille

requested to see him one last time before his wedding.

In the end, he succumbed to his desires once again when he saw her. He couldn’t even remember who

initiated the kiss in the first place. All he knew was that Jonathan had walked into them having sex.

Even after a long time, Zack was still in a daze, and he could only protest, “Dad! Please let me explain!”
