Frank’s face darkened as he saw Adam holding Judith’s hand. His eyes dangerously narrowed. He was

not yours. No gentleman would let a lady walk home alone at the dangerous midnight. So I sent Judy

home.”

his hands on the table. Adam knew what Frank implied. He also smiled politely and said, “I also know

that it is not safe for Judy to come back alone at night. In the future, I will not trouble Mr. Taylor. No

matter where Judy is, I will pick her up. Adam thought, “Judy is a kind, simple girl. She doesn’t even

Judith took out the disposable gloves and handed them to Frank and Adam. There was still some ravioli

left on Frank’s plate. Compared to the takeout that Adam had bought, he preferred ravioli,

“Judy, try some! It won’t taste good when it gets cold later.” Adam ignored Frank and said to Judith.
