Chapter 28 What Poses Have You Used?
Stella hung her head low while wearing a bitter smile, but she seemed shy in the eyes of her
coursemates. The room was stuffy due to heating and the number of people present in there, so the door
was open. Stella was sitting near the door with her back to it when suddenly, a male ex-coursemate
stood from his seat with his eyes twinkling as he approached the door. The rest of them stared at him in
bewilderment.
Upon getting outside, he shook hands with another man while greeting the latter. “Mr. Grant, did you
come for a meal?”
Stella’s face heated up. Miles Grant is here? It seemed that he was coincidentally passing by when the
male ex-coursemate intercepted him. Shoot, might he have heard the question that girl asked? she
wondered.
Meanwhile, that guy spoke with Miles for a long time since it wasn’t everyday that one could bump into
Miles. Seeing that, Stella was feeling more relieved while thinking that Miles might not have heard the
question after all, since he was just passing by. Besides, there were a lot of people chatting in the room,
so he couldn’t have possibly heard it even if the girl was yelling at the top of her lungs… Geez, why did

The gathering ended soon after. Stella needed to leave too, but Zane wouldn’t possibly come get her, so
she had to wait at the entrance of the restaurant. One of her male ex-coursemates wanted to send her
home, but Miles was quicker. Driving his car over to Stella, he told her, “Get in the car.”
The ex-coursemate knew he never stood a chance against Miles, so he drove his car away in dejection.
In the meantime, Miles wore a stern look on his face that made Stella’s heart flutter, but she ended up
getting into the car as he demanded; such was Miles’ charm that made people revolve around him.
After she got into the car, he didn’t depart right away. Instead, he seemed to be busy with some stuff
from work on his phone, so Stella didn’t disturb him. After he put his phone away, he spoke. “I would like
to know the answer to the question that your ex-coursemate asked.”
“What is it?” Stella didn’t get what he meant.
“What poses have you used with Zane?” Now, Miles was driving while he spoke. Although the question
was innately sexual, it didn’t sound debauched at all when it came out of his mouth. Instead, his tone
sounded rather frosty when he asked it, and adding the fact that it was early winter, the air around him
seemed to be exceptionally cold as well. Although there was a vast amount of space in his car, Stella
couldn’t help but sweat nervously.
Despite the fact that she had been married to Zane for quite some time, he never had sex with her. This
matter was a scandal in itself, as Stella was a healthy and pretty woman. If by any chance Zane cared
about the fact that she had a one-night-stand with Miles, it only served to illustrate how petty he was. In
the end, she figured she shouldn’t be badmouthing her husband in front of an outsider, so she replied
with a smile, “Of course we tried out all sorts of postures!”
Immediately, she heard a screech from the tires of Miles’ car as he nearly hit the motorcycle rider in front
of him. While she wasn’t injured in any way, she did receive a huge shock. Tentatively, she cast him a
glance, only to see that the veins on his forehead were bulging. Assuming that he was mad at the rider
for not abiding to the traffic rules, she wondered why he needed to get so worked up over it.
“Tell your cousin that we’re incompatible with each other,” Miles blurted all of a sudden. The sudden
switch in topic puzzled her. It seemed to be that he was texting Yulia earlier on. While she didn’t care if
he wanted to date Yulia, since she wasn’t the one who set them up in the first place, she would be
caught in a dilemma when it came to telling Yulia the truth, as she seemed to fancy him a lot.
She kept the matter to herself, but Miles was her boss after all, so she figured she shouldn’t ignore his

Yulia rushed toward her. With a tear-stained face, Yulia wept as soon as she saw Stella. “I need you to
ask him about the flaws he sees in me! I have such a good physique and attractive looks! I also have a
decent family, so what is it that he doesn’t like about me?”
Taken aback by Yulia’s outburst, Stella finally caught on to the fact that Miles had already turned her
down, which meant that she was spared from the task. However, she didn’t know how to comfort Yulia.
People who went on blind dates were usually understanding if the match failed, but Yulia seemed to
fancy Miles so much that she was trying to force a relationship.
Tugging on Stella’s sleeve, Yulia began shaking her arm back and forth. Even though she never begged
for favors, she began doing so uncharacteristically. “Stella, please, I need you to ask him about it. What
is it that he doesn’t like about me? Why is he treating me like this?”
Her request put Stella in a difficult position, for she thought that Yulia was acting too rashly, seeing that
they were in Kevin’s presence while at someone else’s house. “Alright, I promise I’ll ask him when I get
back.” Although she said so, she was still feeling conflicted.
At noon, she had lunch with Kevin in a small restaurant before returning to the company. In the
afternoon, she went to apply for a leave at the HR department, only to see Miles coming toward her from
the other end of the corridor. Her instinct was to turn on her heels to leave, but she quickly realized that
she had nothing to fear. Therefore, she stayed to greet him properly when he got to her.
