Chapter 315 FulfillingThe Promise
After arriving at the human continent, Alex decided to first meet with Feldar and directly ask for the Voidweaver's Orb from him and scrap his previous plan to wait for at least a few weeks for Feldar to make a decision.
The circumstances had shifted significantly since his last meeting with Feldar, and because of his plan to train, he knew he wouldn't be returning to the human continent for quite some time.
The process of awakening his elemental flame could take up to two months or even more, and all that time, Venedikt would stay without a legacy, which would be a major issue.
Before Alex could contact Feldar, he was contacted by one of the group leaders of enslaved individuals he bought to set free in the night market at Eclipse Haven Island.
After a small conversation, Alex found out all four hundred and forty-eight individuals had arrived on the human continent and were staying in Silvercreek Port City.
Alex was happy that all of them had arrived safely before he went out of reach for months, even though he had planned to transfer the control authority to Venedikt and give him their contact so he could set them free in his absence.
But now he could finish what he had started, so he told the man that he would arrive at the Port City in a few hours before closing the call.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAlex contacted Feldar next, who surprisingly told him he had the item he wanted, and they could meet him after fifteen to twenty hours to discuss things further because, for the time being, he was busy with a guild quest.
Alex wasn't given the time to ask for the name of the item Feldar had secured before he closed the call, but he was delighted with how things were developing as now there was a great chance that he wouldn't need to use force to get the Voidweaver's Orb.
Alex next contacted Alden and first told him it was time to progress with the major opportunity he told him before and then asked him to create a group call with Lady Rosalba, Guild Leader Aster, Hecate, and Vald, which he did in just a few minutes.
The call had five individuals beside Alex, each representing a major power of the Ancient and the Real world, but everyone sat in silence, waiting for him to talk.
Alex didn't reveal anything about the domain, but he did hype them up as he told them that the Shadow Oblivion organization had a monumental opportunity for them that would set them apart from every other power.
Alex informed them that they would receive all the necessary details during their upcoming in-person meeting, which would happen after twenty-four hours from the current moment.
Alex also mentioned to Alden that the opportunity was available to both the Gedeon and Donatelli families and asked him to inform them so they could each send a representative they could wholeheartedly trust.
Alex could have met the guild leaders and completed the deal in just a few hours, but then he would have needed to return to the human continent again to finish the last of his urgent tasks before he could peacefully begin with his training schedule.
For the upcoming big event, Alex needed four more team members, and besides Venedikt and Andrei, he had around four options in mind to fill the remaining two spots.
But currently, only one of those individuals was a member of his organization, while one had yet to join the game, and the last two had yet to make a name for themselves using their incredible legacies.
Alex did not want to make contact with the latter two individuals as he feared his intervention with them could lead things much differently than they should go, resulting in them never gaining their legacies, and he didn't even have information on how they got their legacies so a single mistake of his could cost him two great talents.
Alex had many other members in his organization who would sooner or later gain their destined legacies through his help and would rival elders of any big guild in strength, but they weren't the best ones to fit a role in the team he wanted for the event.
Alex was putting such emphasis on his team because he knew that if he wanted to win the event, then he needed the absolute best team members because the team that won in his last life belonged to the Asgardian guild, which ranked Fisrt in guild ranking and they showed why they ranked at the top.
After the call ended, Alex quickly left toward the teleportation building, and after a few minutes, he was inside the Silvercreek Port City.
The Silvercreek was a medium-sized city, and it had a unique vibe, as the unmistakable sea breeze blended harmoniously with the pervasive scent of fish, accompanied by the ever-changing sound of waves in the nearby sea.
Alex contacted the group leader and instructed him to assemble everyone outside the city. While they gathered, he took the opportunity to explore the city and eat some of the seafood dishes he had enjoyed in his previous life.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAfter half an hour, Alex stood a distance away from the city before a large gathering of individuals who all held various expressions, the most visible being anxiety and anticipation.
Alex didn't make any delay and, using his mana, began the process of dissolving the slave seals that bound these individuals to the control medallions.
The intricate magical marks etched into their flesh began to disintegrate, vanishing like a wisp of smoke, while the control medallions also crumbled to dust as the last of the slave seals were removed.
The crowd watched in relief as their slave seals disappeared, and their initial shock transformed into a surge of hope and emotion. Some fell to their knees, tears streaming down their faces as they cried tears of happiness, their voices breaking with relief.
The few strong-hearted among them managed to hold back their tears, standing in silent gratitude, and even a few stepped forward to express their thanks to Alex.
Alex then handed a space bag containing almost two million gold coins to one of the group leaders, instructing her to distribute 4,000 gold coins to each member of their respective groups.
As minutes passed, individuals started to get a hold of their overflowing emotions and began to thank Alex for his generosity, making him feel truly happy for what he had done.
After the money was distributed, Alex made the group leaders take a Blood Oath to protect their previous group members till they left for their desired destination, and they accepted it without hesitation.
As the oaths were concluded and the money distributed, Alex took a step back, satisfied that he had done all he could to set these individuals on the path to a new life.
Some among the group leaders and other individuals voiced their desire to assist Alex in some way, to repay his kindness, but he declined their offers and told them that if they wanted to help, then do so by helping others in difficult situations.
Having completed what he started, Alex extended his best wishes to the group, hoping for their success in pursuing a brighter future. He then made his way back to the city, heading directly to the teleportation facility.
Alex also contacted Lady Saahira and asked her to come to the capital city, Nova, and wait for him near the teleportation building.
