Chapter 326 First Unofficial Death
'These training chambers are just marvelous, as the possibilities of potential for growth and learning seemed endless,' Alex thought, as his mind went through all the info he had just learned.
The lone ability to enter an illusion that is as good as reality was no different than virtual reality, and being able to pick a perfect opponent from a massive database with the ability to repeat the cycle without the worry of death.
The other stages were also just amazing, to say the least, as experiencing the memories and experiences of someone else, like an elemental Ruler or someone who had mastery over various battle arts and so on, is just something of extreme value.
The ability to experience various events throughout history was just another big one, as it granted the experience of something that otherwise was not possible.
But the one that caught Alex's interest the most was fighting a clone of himself, one who had all his abilities and could use them to the best they possibly could be with thousands of years of gathered data backing him up.
Alex couldn't imagine how much he could learn fighting a monster with the same stats and skills, with the only thing separating them being experience.
"Domain Ruler, do you have any questions?" Varon inquired, drawing Alex's attention back to the conversation.
"No, I will experience things myself,"
"But if there is anything I should know about, then please do tell me, because now I wouldn't be surprised that these chambers have other unique features except if you are going to tell me that these chambers somehow had time dilation," Alex said, with a chuckle and in turn Varon just smiled.
"There are just two more features that you should be aware of as they could be greatly beneficial for your organization members,"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"First, All these chambers could act as Elemental Chamber of almost all the elements and their aspects, which means that they could help not only boost an individual elemental talent but also help him acquire elemental manipulation,"
"However, the benefits would depend heavily on the individual talent, and the chamber could only give the opportunity with some help,"
"These chambers are also the legacy ground belonging to not only the twelve Firstborn Titans and Queen Chaos," Varon said, and after a short pause, continued.
"But also hold the legacies of their subordinates and many other strong individuals who were loyal to the throne of Malefis Domain throughout the thousands of years, which also individuals some of the strongest individuals this world has seen, numbering in thousands of legacies of the highest Rank," Varon said, and went silent.
Alex, by now, had his mouth slightly opened in shock as he processed the information, as the training chambers were already wild, but this new revelation just left him at a loss for words.
"Anything Else?" Alex questioned, his mind still trying to understand the past few minutes of his life.
"No, nothing that would be of any use to you," Varon replied with his calm and friendly smile, as if he hadn't just shared information that seemed highly far-fetched.
Alex shifted his gaze through the chamber with Varon's statement about how the training chambers would be greatly beneficial to his organization members revolving in his mind.
"Varon, I assume only the people I could truly trust should be allowed to use these training chambers, especially the last feature, as those legacies belong to respected figures," Alex asked after a few moments of silence.
"Yes, any features that are assessable with a fourth and above Rank badge should be given only to those that you feel are worthy of them and Sixth and above Rank badge only to a very selective few,"
"But as for third and lower-rank badges, you can give them to all your organization members, and while every feature would be limited to the badge Rank, the legacies wouldn't be restricted."
"It's because the legacies are open to everyone, but it is the chamber spirits who determine if someone is worthy of taking a legacy trial."
"So, if someone can meet their standards and acquire any of the legacies, then I, and everyone else, would be happy for them," Varon's words filled Alex with joy, yet he maintained his composure, resisting the urge to celebrate out loud.
"Thanks for everything," Alex said with a bright smile.
"I believe you want to experiment for some time to check out the various features, so when you are ready, walk to the door of Elder Coeus or Queen Chaos, as those two chambers could provide you with the best darkness element environment," Varon said as he threw a badge toward Alex.
The badge was two or inches long and a few centimeters wide and was pitch dark in color and smooth, like a gem, while its description was also simple, being an entry badge of tenth Rank, and it was bound to Alex as only he could use it to enter the training chamber.
Alex examined both doors: one adorned with the carving of a faceless, elemental-like creature cloaked in dark robes with silver armor shoulders and waist belt, while the other displayed the carving of an ethereal and captivating beauty.
Alex decided to pick the chamber with Queen Chaos, and after taking a deep breath, he stepped forward, appeared before the door, and, without any delay, placed his hand with the badge on it.
Instantly, a magic circle appeared under his feet, and moments later, his vision turned dark, which lasted for close to ten seconds, and then, he found himself in a grassy expanse with towering mountains in the distance.
A gentle, cool breeze caressed his face as he surveyed his new surroundings when he heard a melodious voice from right next to him.
"Greeting, Domain Ruler," The woman spoke with a radiant smile, her presence captivating and her demeanor gracious.
The woman beside him possessed youthful, breathtaking beauty, with her slightly dusky skin serving as a striking contrast to her lustrous, pitch-black hair, which flowed gracefully down her back.
She was adorned in a form-fitting, flowy dress that accentuated her elegance and allure.
"My name is Luculia, and it would be my pleasure to assist you with anything that is in my power," She said, her radiant smile lighting up her face.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Lady Luculia, My Name is Hidden One, and It is a pleasure to meet you," Alex replied, a bit stunned by her aura and beauty.
Alex was standing right next to her with only a few feet separating them, yet he could sense her presence like she was a ghost that only his eyes could see.
"Domain Ruler, do you want me to explain any of the features or suggest something, or is there anything specific you want to do?" Luculia inquired.
"Just one question. How long will it take for me to revive after a death in an illusion?" Alex asked, realizing he hadn't inquired about this crucial detail earlier.
"I can revive you in an instant, mid-fight if you want, restart the session, or give you some time to recover and then continue," Luculia replied.
'Just Great,'
"I'd like to face my perfect clone," Alex declared, his gaze steely as he mentally prepared himself for his first unofficial death, as that was the only way his challenge would end.
"Do you have a preferred terrain?" Luculia inquired.
Shaking his head, Alex gestured for her to proceed, and with a swift response, a figure materialized tens of meters away from him, a mirror image of his, not missing a single detail.
Alex summoned his sword, activated his Eyes of the Ancients, and extended his mana senses only to a ten-foot radius, fully aware that a single mistake for a mere moment and he would be dead.
Alex's eyes locked onto his clone, prepared to defend his life to the fullest, and without moving a muscle that he could see, the clone vanished and reappeared just inches away.
"You're a pathetic loser despite all your gifts," the clone sneered, his tone dripping with disappointment.
Alex, undeterred by the taunt, tensed his muscles and prepared to swing his sword, but in the blink of an eye, his vision went dark, and moments later, he found himself back on the grassy field.
