The first machine where Max tried his luck was the slot machine.
Unlike earth where the slot machines were mostly digitally controlled, the dwarven made gambling machines were much more complex and mostly mechanically driven with the lucky jackpot being the triple hammer sequence instead of the cherries.
The reason why Max chose to try his luck at the slot machine was because he had heard about the ' Rhythm Method ' in his past life which increased the odds of winning at a slot game.
The way this method worked was that depending on how quickly one pulled at the start of each game, one could precisely control the outcome by stopping the reel each time at the same timeframe interval.
With practice one could develop the skill of controlling the first reel to make it stop on the same symbol every time.
This way by being sure to catch the hammer in the first reel atleast, the chances to get a jackpot increased significantly.
The downside of the method was that the rhythm of each machine was different and it could take one a lot of money to get it right.
While the common gambler could not afford to burn 50-100k gold coins just to get the rhythm of the machine right, Max could! This was why he wished to start trying his luck out with the slot machine.
One after another, he slotted 5 gold coin chips into the machine as he got serious and began studying the machine's rhythm.

Sebastian tried his hands at the good old fashioned roulette.
He beleived in his intuition being especially shit, which is why he always placed the best on the color opposite to what his intuition suggested.
If he closed his eyes and his intuition told him to bid on black, he would immediately bid on red and much to his joy he would be right.
After learning the way of the coward, he understood that there was something fundamentally wrong with the genes of Thor Odinson which was incompatible with the way of the coward.
Having Thor's DNA for the majority of his life and upbringing, Sebastian's intuition was developed in a way where his natural response to any problem was to fight it like a brute.
If someone annoyed him too much, his body would urge him to blast him with a thunderbolt and if someone cared for him, he would instantly feel attached to them even if his rational mind understood that it was a trap.
Upon losing his human body that carried Thor's genes, Sebastian lost a majority chunk of his thunder powers and his battle prowess, however he retained the worst part of his old body which was Thor's battle IQ and intuition.
Thankfully Kremeth had taught him well, which was why he could perfectly control the urges of his new body.
' No wonder you were a legendary loser at gambling, father, you don't have a knack for these things at all ' Sebastian thought as he was on a roll winning five times in a row.

( Meanwhile Severus )
The game Severus chose to go for was a card game similiar to poker from Earth.
Although the logic was the same, the cards used were slightly different with there being no ace, king, queen or jack but rather tier8 monarch, tier 7 destroyer, tier 6 god and tier5 strongman as the card heirarchy
Severus had the advantage of his superior hearing as he played this game as he could detect the change in breathing pattern of all players as they glanced at their cards.
After playing a few rounds, Severus understood the perfect reactions of every player on the table.
After understanding their patterns, Severus stopped bleeding money as round after round he began winning bigger and bigger amounts.
2 hours later his wealth had already increased by 200k gold coins and he had wrung the other players dry by that point.
With the pots no longer becoming bigger than 2-5k, Severus was bored soon enough from the game, but before he could look for a shift in the game, a new human player joined the table with a big Bank.
This human kept glancing towards Severus with a smug and menacing glare as somehow Severus felt the need to humor the kid as he decided to stick around for a few more rounds.

( Meanwhile Felix Aurelius )
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm" Damn it, Damn it, Damn it! "
Felix screamed as he tossed some furniture inside the hotel room he was staying at.
He had just recieved a report that two red umbrella operatives on Dwargon had been killed.
Under usual circumstances he would not have bothered with the death of few operatives but these two had been taken in the loop and knew of his involvement with the faction since it was expected that Roya and Kena would be deployed to serve in their establishment for the next few months.
With the two of them being in posession of knowledge of his involvement with the organisation, their deaths left Felix in a precarious position.
Confirm reports suggested that Ravan was spotted at the facility during the time of this murder with his two trusted aides, but it seemed that he personally never went out of the massage room as per the masseuse who served him's claims.
But the sheer timing of this event made it so that it was impossible that someone other than the Bloodfall clan was involved with the murder.
Since Ravan was already linked with his brothers camp, if the information of him being associated with the red umbrella leaked to his brothers faction and somehow to his father, it would greatly tarnish his image amongst the whole vampire society and ruin his chances to be named crown prince.
The threat needed to be contained at once.
