Max walked into the ancient mage tower peacefully. He was internally filled with glee that he did not have to destroy this magnificent structure and could calmly disable it.
The inside of the tower was lined with countless beautiful runic inscriptions and artificial lightning sources and felt like a world of its own.
If it were him alone, he would never figure out in a million years as to how exactly he should disable it, but Drax the A.I was knowledgeable in this field.
During Drax's time as the servant of the lord of fire Agni, he often studied and controlled mage towers.
There were several mage towers in the god Agni's planet, with the tallest one being over 1 kilometre which allowed the god of fire to control regions in the entire solar system and not just a single planet.
The method to safely disable any mage tower was to remove the mana stones powering its core formation from their place and that was what Max exactly did as one after another he removed high grade mana stones from the towers core formation before storing them safely in his inventory.
When Drax gave him the green signal that everything was disabled, he walked back out of the tower and told the troops to deploy the signalling.
Within the next 3 minutes, tens of thousands of red flares were shot high into the atmosphere, so much so that even from space a tiny red ball would be visible.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThis was the signal to the rest of the forces outside the atmosphere to come in and join the battle.
***********
( Meanwhile Asiva )
It was nerve wracking for Asiva to wait on the sidelines till she got the signal to descend.
Whenever things involved matters such as war and violence, she felt a continuous need to stick around Max to make sure he was okay, as somehow after the death of her father she never felt secure with seperating with her loved ones in the face of danger.
The 2+ hours of waiting outside the planet's atmosphere felt like 2 days to Asiva who continuously paced around the ship waiting eagerly for the signal to descend.
When the signal finally arrived, she breathed a sigh of relief as she nodded towards the clone ' Max Rajput ' who gave the orders to land.
The five destroyer ships containing 30,000 soldiers each began descending through the atmosphere, guns at ready as they aimed at districts 7 through 3 to target reserve troop lines and healer houses.
As they entered the atmosphere, the Kingsman air defence systems were triggered as ground to air weapons were deployed to take down the battleships.
Many of the ground to air weapons supposed to deploy showed signs of malfunction due to Severus's tempering as they exploded before take off, or went array into the air.
The air above the city also changed rapidly, as she recognised it to be one of Max's moves, the [ Nature's Whisperer ] by which he covered the entire city in a thick fog, making it difficult for one to locate the position of the ships above ground.
For the first 30 seconds, the descent was smooth for all ships, as they were soon going to enter a shooting range from where they could rain fire on districts 7 through 4 without taking blind shots.
However, it was at this moment that everything turned South.
Asiva saw it in slow motion as the ship to her left was met with a terrifying blast of wind which, as it diced about 30% of the ship off its mainframe sending it spiralling down to its downfall.
Asiva's mind went blank, as she could not react for a second whereas the clone rushed to the pilot's cabin and shouted for them to force the ship to dip down fast!
Under the clone's urging, the ship took a complete descent action as it sped towards ground at full speed, abandoning it's position to attack the Kingsman sectors as it focused on survival first.
*KABOOM*
While descending at full speed, the clone heard yet another explosion coming from his right as he could only gasp in horror as a second rebel ship was destroyed before landing.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe clone was clear in his mind that there was clearly some external factor at play this time, because in their Intel report there was not a single person on the Kingsman clans side which was capable of such violence.
The only question now was, who?
**********
( Max's POV )
Everything was going smooth for Max until he saw the first ship carved like it was a slice of butter by an attack that was clearly belonging to the tier6 realm in power.
Max's heart beat out of his chest, as he did not know which one of the five ships Asiva was in, and whether she was on the ship who was just attacked.
As Max saw a few unfortunate rebel soldiers fall from the sky towards their death, he could not help but clutch his fists in anger as he tried to locate the individual responsible for this attack.
Max began to climb the outer walls of the mage tower, as he tried to gain elevation to get a better view of the situation, as the moment he raised his head above the layer of fog, he saw a vampire with blonde hair and differently coloured eyes floating in the sky as he leisurely prepared his attack spells to bring down the battleships.
' It's a god! ' Max exclaimed in his head as he tried to skim through his head as to which vampire god had a blue coloured left eye but a red coloured right eye.
Unfortunately Max did not know any such god, or his reason to support the Kingsman clan in this battle as the only thing he knew was that the bastard had just killed 60,000 of his men and destroyed two of his Destroyer Battleships with a casual flick of his wrists.
