"I think that's all, we should get the plants quickly," Alex said immediately as he rushed towards the plant closest to him.

"Humans..." a voice whispered.

The rest of the group also did the same thing, rushing to the plants closest to them and quickly uprooting them from the ground, soon more growls were heard and they knew more ghouls were heading their way.

Each of the plants had four leaves and they need more than 50 leaves to complete Matthew's quest, the planets weren't growing in a particular place but instead, they were scattered around and the more they uproot the plants the more their field of vision becomes smaller.

Alex wasn't affected by the darkness because he had his shadow camouflage, Melissa also wasn't disturbed by the darkness, but the rest of them were affected, Rebecca's healing canes glowed dimly and wasn't enough to light up their surrounding.

"I got 4 plants, that's sixteen leaves" Max shouted.

"I also have four" Gabriel shouted.

"I have 3," Rebecca said.

"I have 3" Melissa shouted.

"Each of the plants contains four leaves so..."

"It's complete don't waste your time counting Gabriel" Alex spoke.

"I knew it was complete I just wanted to make sure, I'm definitely afraid" Gabriel mumbled the last part.

"Good it's done, let's leave," Melissa said.

"Gabriel use your flames to clear a path," Alex said now that they were all together.

"Okay," Gabriel smiled as he stretched his hands forward, he was glad they got what they wanted and now they were leaving.

[Fireball]

Gabriel shot one fireball in the direction they came from and surprisingly it was empty, not a single ghoul in sight till a large figure was spotted and the flames died out.

"I wasn't the only one who saw that right," Gabriel said.

"We need to get out of here!!" Melissa shouted.

"What is wrong, what is that?" Rebecca asked.

"Move, we're going back!!" Alex shouted, he barely caught a glimpse of the creature but he knew the creature had weapons and was definitely a little intelligent.

"Are you leaving humans, do you think I'll let you leave" the creature growled, this time its voice was coming from above.

Melissa quickly faced her bow upward and fired an arrow into the sky, the rest of the wondered what she was doing till they heard a loud thud, now the creature was close to one of the plants they didn't uproot and they could see it perfectly.

[Greater Ghoul]

[Level 23]

[HP: 250/250]

[Skills: Flight, Stench]

[Affinity: None]

The information appeared in front of Alex as he looked at the creature, he didn't have to mumbled the word, just thinking about the creature in front of him made the screen come up.

The ghoul in front of them was as ugly and horrible as the rest of them, but this one was much bigger, had wings, could speak, and had weapons and armor, probably from his former victims.

"Greater Ghoul, level 23, HP 250, skills flight and stench, affinity none" Alex mouthed without taking his eyes off the creature.

Now he was glad he got the inspect skill, without this skill he wouldn't be able to know if they could defeat a beast or run away.

"HP 250, can't you check his main stats like speed or strength?" Lynx asked.

"I can but I won't, checking it would just be a waste of time, even if it is stronger than us, it still won't allow us to escape," Alex said.

"It got flight, so running away isn't an option, fighting on the ground is our best choice," Melissa said.

"Max, we'll need you in front to block his attacks or deflect them so we'll get an opening to strike," Alex said.

"Huh! You want me to be in front, I can't possibly block an attack from something this big and he's using an axe, besides I'm not a real swordsman" Max spoke quickly.

"Humans, you made a mistake coming here, I'll make sure your flesh doesn't go to waste" the ghoul growled as it charged toward them.

"Attack!!' Melissa shouted as she fired three arrows in rapid succession towards the ghoul making it strong to block.

The rest of them quickly spaced out and Gabriel wasted no time in firing three fireballs which were blocked easily by the ghoul, the ghoul looked at the group as they were spaced out and settled for Melissa.

The ghoul dashed toward Melissa and the rest of them were surprised, but it wasn't coming after Melissa instead it was going after Rebecca who was at the back of Melissa shivering in fear.

Gabriel stretched his hand forward to slow the ghoul down and Lynx was in position with his flintlock staring at the ghoul but as if reading their moves the ghoul spread its wings and took flight, it did it to gain momentum so it could kill Melissa first.

"Bastard" Lynx shouted but before he could aim at the flying ghoul it was already coming down at Melissa with both of his hands gripping its axe tightly.

"Melissa" Gabriel shouted as the ghoul came down on her.

>BOOM!!<

The ghoul landed with enough force to split a rock in two, the force raised dust making it unable to see through, the boys already thought Melissa and Rebecca were gone, they was just no way they could survive that attack.

"You bastard!!" Melissa shouted, "Don't think I'll go down without a fight, you low leveled bastard!!"

The ghoul growled as the dust cleared away and Melissa was on her knees with her bow facing upward stopping the ghoul's axe while Rebecca was on the ground, tears already flowing from her eyes as she lay there.

Alex already forgot Melissa's weapon was an Epic weapon so it could withstand the force of the axe but the ghoul wasn't planning on stopping there.

The ghoul used its left hand to hold its axe there while it raised its right hand to punch Melissa who was on her knees and unable to move.

"Haaa..." Max shouted as he used his sword to block the ghoul's attack moving him backwards a little.

"You are too low leveled to stop us" Lynx mumbled as he pulled the trigger and a loud sound echoed, the ghoul's wings covered the side of its neck so he wouldn't be attacked from afar but Lynx wasn't aiming for its neck.

The ghoul shrike as Lynx's bullet tore through its right eye, the ghoul stumbled backward immediately and they knew this was their chance to finish it off.

Alex had also moved into action, he had no time to stand around doing nothing, even though he was no match for the ghoul with his weapon he was going to use his best skill, his stealth.

As the ghoul stumbled backward Alex was already in motion and from behind he jumped on the ghoul digging both of his daggers into the neck of the ghoul.

"Alex"

"Finish it off" Max shouted.

"Haaaa..." Alex screamed as he intends to remove the head of the ghoul with both of his weapons but the head of the ghoul was as hard as stone, he could dig his weapon in but tearing it was impossible.

Alex tried as hard as he could but before he could make any progress the ghoul moved its head backward and slammed Alex's head causing him to fall on his back.

"Alex..." Gabriel shouted but before any of them could make any move the ghoul took to the sky and removed both of the daggers from his neck.

"Die" the ghoul mouthed as he threw both of the dagger with his right hand towards Alex.

Melissa, Gabriel, and Lynx were still aiming at the ghoul and Gabriel was rushing towards Alex when both of his daggers hit the ground.

"Arrghh..." Alex screamed as the dagger pierced his flesh.

One of the dagger missed while the other dagger was currently in Alex's right leg causing him an unimaginable amount of pain, unlike Nova Online this time the pain didn't go away.

The ghoul didn't stop this time as it flew away from them, the rest of them except Rebecca quickly rushed towards Alex, Rebecca was on the ground with her eyes closed as every part of her body was screaming in fear.
