“Is that so? Invite her out one day so that we can have a meal together. Anyways, I’ll be staying in

Mauve City in the future!”

Skyler glanced at Jocelyn, who was daydreaming with her head tilted to the side. He nodded and said,

“Yes, sure!” They arrived home at night.

Jocelyn took a shower and lay down on her bed. She turned around on her bed, but she could not fall

asleep.

She thought of how Walter treated her. It was as if nothing had changed from two years ago. She felt

rather upset.

Initially, she thought that she would be extremely nervous tonight. However, after seeing Walter, she

suddenly realized that she had already put down her bitter crush on him after knowing that he had a

fiancée back then.

However, she still could not treat Walter like an ordinary friend.

Walter was not just someone that she had once had a crush on. Disregarding the crush, Walter was still

like family to her.

Michael had been giving her a difficult time back then. She got bullied everywhere. Walter was the one

who protected her as she grew up during the toughest few years of her life. He taught her how to fight

and brought her around to have fun. He was still different from everyone else… The next morning,

Jocelyn was still yet to come down when Skyler came downstairs. He sat down at the dining table and

suddenly thought of the chat he had with Jim last night. Jim had given him some tips on how to pursue

women, and one of them was the fetch them to work and back home.

However, Skyler thought about how Jocelyn insisted on driving to work herself yesterday morning.

Finally, he convinced her to fetch him to work by using his wound as an excuse!

Skyler frowned and pondered upon it for some time. Suddenly, he crooked his finger and gestured for the

butler, who was arranging some of the porcelain by the side, to come over.

He gave the butler some orders in a hushed tone. The butler’s face twitched slightly as he asked, “Sir,

must I really do that?” Skyler said coldly, “Don’t ask so many questions, and just do as I say!”

The butler nodded and left.

Jocelyn could not sleep last night. There were dark circles under her eyes the next morning.

She used some concealer to cover up the dark circles beneath her eyes before going downstairs.

Skyler ate his breakfast slowly. If it were not for the fact that Jocelyn knew that he definitely would not fall

for her, she would have thought that he was waiting for her to go to the office

together with him!

After having breakfast, Jocelyn grabbed her car keys and handbag before leaving the house.

Skyler took his car keys and followed behind her at an even pace.

Jocelyn glanced at the car keys in his hand in shock. “Are you driving to the office yourself?”

Skyler let out a lazy lium.

Jocelyn did not continue asking him questions. Skyler’s gaze flashed as he told her, “I’ll fetch you to work

today!”

Jocelyn shook her head and raised the car keys in her hands. “It’s alright, I can go to the office

myself!”

She was aware that she had to keep her distance from Skyler at all times. Skyler glanced at her without

saying anything. He walked at an even pace while looking at Jocelyn’s silhouette. A glint flashed across

his eyes. Both of them walked to the garage. Jocelyn pressed clicked her car key fob and was about to

get in her car when her gaze suddenly landed on her tires. She was instantly stunned. She had a flat

tire? Her car was evidently slanted at an angle. However, it had been fine last night! Skyler had already

opened his car door and gotten into the driver’s seat.

Jocelyn glanced at her car tires as a distraught expression appeared on her face. Skyler had already

started his car. It seemed like he was about to leave at any time. Jocelyn took out her phone and looked

at the time. If she walked right now, she would not be able to make it to work in time.

She instantly started panicking.

She gritted her teeth and rushed toward Skyler’s car. “Mr. Moore, wait for a while!”

Skyler looked ahead of him. He seemed to be focused on driving. He smirked as a satisfied smile

appeared on his face. “Oh, what happened?”

Jocelyn panted as she ran to the side of his car. “Mr. Moore, can you please fetch me to the office

today?”

Dämn it, she was going against her own words!

Skyler sat down in the passenger’s seat and lowered the half-opened car window. He said in a languid

tone, “Didn’t you say that you could go to work on your own?” Jocelyn’s face instantly flushed red when

she thought about what she had previously said.” Mr. Moore, my car has a flat tire. Perhaps the tire got

pricked yesterday, but I don’t have the time to look into it right now. I’m really not intentionally looking for

an excuse to approach

you!”

At first, Skyler had a faint smile on his face as he listened to what she said. However, after hearing the

last sentence that she said, his face darkened slightly.

He spoke to her in a cold tone, “Get into the car!”

He was rather angry. It was unclear if he was angry at himself or Jocelyn.

Why did she remember the words that he had said at the very start so clearly?

Jocelyn could clearly sense that Skyler was suddenly in a bad mood. There was a dazed expression on

her face.

However, she could not care about so much right now. She walked past the front of the car and got into

the passenger’s seat. The butler stood at the entrance of the villa and watched as Skyler’s car drove

away into the distance. There was a complicated but comforted expression on his face. Mr. Moore finally

knew how to appreciate Miss White and his marriage! However, Skyler was being childish and mean for

asking him to give Miss White’s car a flat tire. Was he still a child?!

The car drove out of the villa. Skyler noticed that Jocelyn was rather bored, so he spoke up,” You can

connect your phone to Bluetooth and listen to some music!” Jocelyn pursed her lips and nodded.

“Alright!”

She felt rather bored. Besides, it seemed like Skyler did not listen to music while driving,

She linked her phone through Bluetooth and started playing music. She started playing with her phone

while listening to music in the passenger’s seat.

She posted a photo on her Instagram story. She included an upset emoji on the photo.

“An unlucky day starts from a flat tire…”

She had not slept well last night. She was listening to music. Besides, Skyler drove extremely smoothly.

She fell asleep before she knew it.

Skyler glanced at her when he stopped the car at a red light. He saw her sleeping soundly with her head

tilted to the side. He could not resist lowering the volume of the audio in the car.

When the car was about to arrive at the company, the song being played on the radio ended. An odd

conversation suddenly rang out in the car.

“Aren’t you quite close with Davis? Lexie knows that you like Davis, but…”

“Men are just like clothes, but best friends will always be there for you…”
