Hearing Chad’s words, even though Jocelyn knew the whole story, she still felt a little upset.

Yvonne knew that Skyler always kept his word. She looked embarrassed as she nodded and left with

Jocelyn also wanted to leave, but Skyler said, “Stay! I have something to say!” Jocelyn looked at him in

surprise and stayed behind. When Yvonne heard this, she pursed her lips and glanced at the

expressionless Skyler before leaving reluctantly.

Once Yvonne left, Skyler looked at Jocelyn.

He could not help but frown when he thought about how someone had repeatedly asked him if he had

fallen for Jocelyn.

He stared at Jocelyn. Did this woman think so too?

Skyler’s eyes flashed and he said without batting an eyelid, “Jocelyn, I hope you don’t misunderstand for

the reason that I saved you last night. If it were a man with guts, he would have done the same thing in

that situation!”

Jocelyn was stunned. What did that mean?

Her expression changed slightly as she nodded. “No matter what, thank you for last night, President

Moore!”

Skyler raised his eyebrows. Did she not understand what he meant?

His eyes darkened. “I’ve helped you twice not only because you’re a member of the company, but also

because of the company’s reputation. More importantly, I don’t like people touching my things. Do you

understand?”

Jocelyn’s expression changed slightly as she carefully controlled herself. “I understand. Thank you very

much for today’s intervention, President Moore!”

Skyler frowned. Why did it feel like he still didn’t understand what he meant!

He continued, “I married you because I took advantage of the situation. I don’t like others using anything

to coerce me. My marriage doesn’t need to be bound by useless feelings. Sometimes, I would tease you

a little because you were interesting at that moment and didn’t mean anything else. Do you understand?”

If Josie was not his girlfriend who kept taking advantage of him, perhaps his current marriage partner

would not be Jocelyn.

you think?”.

Jocelyn’s expression was reserved as she said politely and distantly, “It’s all up to you, President Moore!

I have no objections!”

She was just borrowing power, what could she say!

Skyler tested her attitude and was very satisfied.

Then, he changed the topic without batting an eyelid. “Do you have any other thoughts about Howard?

He’s sided with us this time and helped you. If you still want to deal with him, I can help you!”
