In the office was a middle-aged man in a suit and tie.

“Mr. Reed, this is Mr. Pete Zellweger, the manager of our Glace branch,” Jaey introduced the man to Gilmore and

his friends.

Gilmore stepped forward and greeted him. “Hello, Mr. Zellweger!”

Mr. Zellweger also stood up from his office chair with a smile and reached out his hand to Gilmore, saying, “Mr.

“Jaey, make scoffee for our friends from Eldoria,” said Pete.

Jaey nodded and went to get scups ready.

Then he served Gilmore, Lilian, and the others cups of coffee.

Afterward, Pete asked Gilmore, “How long do you plan to stay in Glace, Mr. Reed?”

Gilmore replied, “It depends. If we find it enjoyable, we might stay for a month or a few weeks. If not, we could

leave in a few days.”

Nodding, Mr. Zellweger responded, “That's fair, Mr. Reed. But, truth be told, Glace can’t quite compete with the

fun back in Eldoria.”

“Mr/Zellweger, the Davis Group is a famous gold mining company in Oakhaven. Why did they invest in Glace?”

Gilmore immediately asked.

Mr. Zellweger replied, “Well, it's not easy to invest in Glace because it's not as convenient as in Eldoria.

“However, there's a significant gold reserve around Swarm Mountain, which is why we're here.”

“I heard from my guide that despite your investment here, many people in Glace still want to contest the mining

rights. What's all that about?” Gilmore asked.

Mr. Zellweger smiled lightly. “You see, when we first invested here, no one knew about the massive gold reserve.

“We took a big risk, and the Glace conglomerates thought we were fools.

“But when we struck gold, those speople turned green with envy, trying every trick in the book to wrestle

the mining rights from us.

“But they're just barking dogs. We have the official permit. They can’t take that away from us.”

Gilmore nodded and said, “It seems those Glace conglomerates are envious of such a large gold mine in your

hands.

“I noticed Mr. Jetpuria and others guarding the road below the mine. Do these conglomerates still cause you any

trouble?”

Mr. Zellweger gave a cold smile and said, “Indeed, they do. Unable to legally vie for our rights, they resort to

underhanded

tactics.

“But we're not worried. Mr. Harrison Davis has specifically sent a team of warriors from Eldoria to protect the
