Camila gave Maisie an address, and Maisie followed her directions to a storefront on a street. Camila's car was
parked on the side of the road, and she waved at Maisie with a smile.
"This car looks pretty average, but its performance is excellent!" Camila grinned sheepishly. "Um... this was the first
car I bought with my own savings. I've had it for a long time and I'm quite attached to it."
Maisie was surprised. She hadn't expected Camila, given her background, to save money on her own.
"You'll understand later. I'm not well-regarded in the Quimby family..." Camila's expression turned somber, but she
still made an effort to smile at Maisie. "I'm really happy to be friends with you and work with you. Maisie, you don't
look down on me because I'm not valued in the Quimby family, right?"
Maisie's heart clenched. She vaguely remembered Daniel mentioning once that Camila wasn't his fourth uncle's
biological daughter. She had been adopted to serve as a placeholder, but after Daniel's fourth uncle and aunt had

"No, of course not." Maisie smiled and shook her head. "You're a good person with strong work abilities. Why would
I look down on you? Besides, people don't need to live for others. Just be true to yourself."
"You're really kind." Camila smiled. "Having a friend like you is enough! By the way, I apologize for making you
revise the manuscript over and over..."
"Don't say that. You were doing it for my own good."
Camila glanced at her with a smile. Although Maisie had sharp claws and fangs, most of the time, this cat kept its
claws sheathed.
"Camila." Maisie looked at the scenery outside and the gradually thinning crowd. "Where are you taking me?"
"We've been wandering around the city center for a while, so I'll take you to the outskirts!" Camila reassured her.
"Don't worry, we won't go far. Just to a place near the outskirts. The scenery is great, and there aren't many people
around!"
Maisie nodded, and Camila soon led her to a picturesque area near the outskirts. There were villas built along the
mountainside, all in a quaint Eropah style. The blue skies, the white clouds, the scent of flowers, and the song of the
birds gave the place an idyllic charm.
Maisie instantly fell in love with it.
"What do you think?" Camila smiled. "I didn't lie, right? Isn't it beautiful here?"
"If I lived here, wouldn't it be like living in fairyland?" Maisie smiled back.
"I don't dare take you to random places, so I brought you here. This villa area was developed by the Quimby Group,
so it is considered Daniel's territory!"
The two of them walked along the mountain road, the tranquil environment and fresh air easing the tension in

scenery from any vantage point was refreshing all the same.
The villas were spaced apart, offering ample space and exuding the Eropah countryside feel.
"Most of these houses are now used for commercial purposes." Camila pointed. "See over there? Several are cafes,
and they're quite popular. You might have seen them on social media.
"Over there, they've turned some into B&Bs. The business owners here are savvy. During peak tourism season,
many people come here because of the buzz.
"However... some houses were purchased by individuals who want to live here."
Camila walked side by side with Maisie, explaining as they strolled. In a short while, they reached a small courtyard.
This location was relatively secluded, away from the cafes and B&Bs. Besides, it was evident that this was a private
residence.
"I heard... that the owner of this house hasn't lived here in a long time," Camila said. "We can go in and take a
look!"
"Hey!" Maisie quickly stopped her. "Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"
"It's okay."
