Serenity laughed. "I grew up in the countryside, how could | not be used to it? I'd love to go if you're willing to

Serenity wasn't short of food; she just wanted Jane to know she was looking forward to the trip.

Jane smiled. "Yes, they raise a lot. | keep telling them not to, but they insist. They even senta dozen chickens

over the holidays. Every tIgo back, they load my car with eggs, rice, homemade peanut oil, sweet potatoes,
