“Are you laughing?” the woman asked in disbelief.

“It’s done. Was there someone next to you?” the woman summoned the courage to ask.

“Yes.”

The woman fell silent and wanted to ask who it was when Leslie interrupted her impatiently, not giving

her a chance to speak.
