Theresa asked, “Is Eugene here?”

“He’s gone to work.”

“You don’t have to work today?”

Cristina covered her belly and sat on the couch. Theresa followed her and gave her a look. “What? Eugene was so

good last night that you can’t get out of bed today?”

Hearing Theresa tease her, Cristina glared at Theresa. “No! I’m having my period, my belly is upset, and I have a

bit of a cold, so he told me to stay in and have a rest.”

“Then why are you blushing?” Theresa said. “If it weren’t for your period, I don’t think I’d be able to see you today.”

“You’re so annoying!” Cristina was so angry that she jumped over and punched Theresa twice.

Theresa looked at her, blushed with shame, and said, “Just because he took me back yesterday and came back to

me at night, Charlie now thinks that I had cheated with Eugene back then.”

“Huh?” Cristina was stunned to hear this. “That happened? How could he think you cheated? Is he out of his mind?

He believed you before! Men are so unreliable.”

Theresa said, “I just want to know what Eugene said to Charlie. By the way, Pat thought so too.

He said he had asked Eugene about it.”

“That can’t be true, right?” Cristina said. “Did Eugene lose his mind? How could he say that?”

Theresa looked at Cristina and said, “Well, you can ask him when he comes back.”

She picked up her phone and called Eugene.

Eugene said, “It’s ridiculous, Charlie. I’m a man, so it doesn’t matter if you wrong me, but if you wrong Theresa,

you’ll regret it. She was still with Jimmy when I left. Do you mean that she cheated by saying I have children with

her? How can you believe what the Watson family said to slander her?”

“All I know is that you have two children with her. What can you tell me about the children? And why did you come

back to her yesterday?”

Eugene frowned.
