Chapter 1582
Mason made a self-mocking scoff and left the topic aside.
Sherry pondered for a moment and asked, “Mason, if you run into any problems at Westchester, just contact me.”
He looked at her friendly smile and pursed his lips. “Yeah, I will.”
She raised her glass. “I’ll use this fruit juice to propose a toast. I wish you all the best when you return to
Westchester. Cheers.”
Mason picked up his glass, clinked it with hers, and then drained it to the last drop.
Sherry chuckled at his reaction. Anyone who knew less might have thought Mason had just finished a glass of wine
in a single gulp.
Mason also curled his lips when he saw her smiling.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMeanwhile, the man in the car outside the restaurant saw them smiling happily through the window. His brows
furrowed and his expression turned grimly frosty. She had never smiled this bright when she was with him, yet she
smiled like the sun when she had dinner with Mason. The interior of the car got cold and depressing, which
pressured the driver and Peter. Neither of them dared to even make a noise.
After the glass of fruit juice, Sherry said to Mason, “I have to go back to Caprice now. I have to leave.”
Mason smiled. “Alright. See you.”
“See you.”
Sherry then grabbed her jacket and headed to the stairs without saying anything else.
Mason remained seated as he watched her leave his sight. His eyes showed a hint of loneliness. This might be the
last meeting between them.
Three years ago, he was still confident in being her match and even hoped that she could return to his side.
Now, no matter how confident he was, he knew her capabilities and he could no longer be her perfect match.
Sherry strode out of the restaurant, and when she looked in the direction of the parking lot, she saw a familiar
figure.
The man with the golden-framed glasses stood tall in his handsome suit. His hands were pocketed and his back
leaned against the car, looking casual with a hint of
laziness.
John should be on a business trip instead of waiting for her at the restaurant. His lips
curled.
Maybe because of the chilly weather, she saw coldness on his face.
Sherry was slightly stunned even though he was smiling at her.
Her gaze shifted as she walked closer to him. She asked, “Shouldn’t you be on a business trip? Why are you here?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmJohn lifted his hand and stroked her face. “Sherry, aren’t you happy to see me?” His voice sounded frosty.
Sherry’s gaze quivered. She furrowed her brows and asked, “How did you know I was here? Did you follow me?”
The man’s sudden appearance with the frosty stare and the expression on his face screaming his suspicion of her
cheating on him, there was no way she could be happy seeing him.
John curled his lips wider and said indifferently, “I was home when you went out just now. So, I followed you and saw
where you were going.”
Sherry looked at him suspiciously. She had a feeling that something was wrong with him.
Before she could ask any more questions, he tugged her into his arms and hugged her. “You were having dinner
with Mason up there. I saw you guys smiling happily. What did you guys talk about?”
He then looked up at the window on the second floor.
Mason was still there in his seat, looking at them from a condescending point of view. He was surprised when he
met John’s gaze, but he quickly covered his
emotions with a polite smile. His expression looked natural.
-John narrowed his eyes.
Sherry then said, “He and his family are moving back to Westchester. We had a farewell dinner.”
