Chapter 1834
It was a very famous dessert cafe, and many people had been posting about it online lately.
Caprice and her friends were shocked to hear that Moses’ friend was the owner of the place. Before Caprice could
even have time to consider, her friends accepted the invitation for her. With that, they head toward the dessert
cafe with Moses taking the lead.
Caprice had no choice but to tag along.
There was a nice seat upstairs next to a window.
As if by intention, Caprice’s friends made sure to let Caprice and Moses sit at a separate table. Caprice did not mind
since it looked like Moses had something he wanted to tell her.
After ordering a cup of tea, they turned their attention to each other. While sipping her cup of fruity tea, she asked
casually, “What is it that you wanted to tell me?”
“Here’s the situation: a few friends and I recently set up a small company. We develop technological gadgets, and
we recently have a newly launched product.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs he provided the preliminary information, he reached for his phone and showed it to Caprice. It was a slide with
brief details of the innovational gadget he was referring to.
Although Caprice was not a technology savant by any means, she had picked up some business sense from her
parents growing up. She had the bare-bones instincts to help her gauge the potential of a product.
Her gut was telling her that there was a lot of potential here. A marketing push was all it needed. After she read the
slide, she asked, “Why are you showing me this though? I don’t think what I’m majoring in right now has anything to
do with this.”
Besides, she was still a student and had no practical experience to speak of.
Moses narrowed his eyes and smiled. His was a sincere smile that inspired trust, and it did help that he was very
handsome. “I want you to be our brand ambassador.”
Caprice grew wide-eyed. “Your ambassador?”
“Yes.”
“I’m just a student, not some kind of celebrity.”
Moses scratched the back of his head and suddenly seemed uncharacteristically shy “I think you look just as good
as any celebrity on TV.”
“But I’m not famous.”
Moses took a deep breath and braced himself for a confession, “Well, the thing is, we can’t possibly afford an actual
celebrity.”
Caprice pursed her lips.
Moses looked at her and spoke with sincerity, “Caprice, our company may have accumulated
some funds, but it’s not even enough to sign an influencer, much less a celebrity
Caprice grew puzzled and asked, “You have a good product here Why not find someone to invest in it?”
Once they had a sizeable investment, the marketing should no longer be an issue
Moses shook his head gravely “We do have potential investors, but most of them are looking to assimilate us into
their company. You see, we want to become our own bosses.”
It did make sense, Caprice supposed.
The world of business had always been a dog-eat-dog world, and nobody would invest in something if they did not
benefit directly from it. On Caprice’s father’s journey to cementing himself as the richest and most powerful man in

Moses, on the other hand, looked like he was starting from the ground up. Without any financial backing, it was

“Could you send me a copy of your product details?” Caprice asked.
Moses’ eyes glowed with hope “Does that mean you want to be our ambassador?”
Caprice was confident enough in her looks, but she was not sure she had the bravado to become a brand
ambassador She smiled and explained, “Maybe I can help you find a suitable investor.” Moses hesitated. He was not
expecting such a reply
It would be ideal if Caprice could somehow find a respectable connection for him, but she was just a sophomore in
university. Besides, she was enrolled in arguably the least prestigious course available, so what sort of connection
could she possibly have?
Caprice smiled faintly
It seemed like she did not realize that her smile had power over people. A combination of her dreamy looks of
warm smile easily mesmerized people.
Moses suddenly felt his ears growing red hot.
They decided to exchange contact information for now.
